Smear job by the Old Gray Crack Whore

quote:

The Times report claims its data stems from over two decades of tax returns, and that Trump paid a mere $750 in federal taxes in 2016 and 2017. Fox News obtained a statement by Trump Organization lawyer Alan Garten maintaining Trump “has paid tens of millions of dollars in personal taxes to the federal government, including paying millions in personal taxes since announcing his candidacy in 2015.”

Despite The New York Times’ specific claims, they would not release any of the tax filings as proof saying they were protecting their sources. “The New York Times’ story is riddled with gross inaccuracies. Over the past decade the President has paid tens of millions of dollars in personal taxes to the federal government” said Garten.

“While we tried to explain this to the Times, they refused to listen and rejected our repeated request that they show us any of the documentation they purport to be relying on to substantiate their claims” added Garten. “Obviously this is just part of the Times’ ongoing smear campaign in the run up to the election” he added.

The MSM and Democrats forced Trump to relinquish control/paychecks over/from his businesses.

He donates the standard POTUS salary to the government.

I am actually surprised he had income amounting to a $750 tax payment after the $400k/year donation.

Trumps depreciation/Good Will amortization across all his properties is staggering most likely. Most liberals have no idea how this computed and is a legitimate deduction that most real estate moguls use to not pay income tax. The amount of property taxes/payroll taxes he pays is also staggering so smoke that liberals!

There's a big surprise.

If enough snowflakes melt, then the NYT will blame climate change and ultimately Trump.

I'm so SICK of these leftists and their mind games / gaslighting.

Hard to understand property tax when you don't own property...

What do you think the bill on Trump Tower in NYC is every year? My little commercial building in podunk Mississippi is over 4 grand so I can't even imagine!

Is this a ploy by NYT thinking they can trick Trump into releasing his returns in order to refute their story?

Not surprised. The NYT also completely misinterpreted FedEx's ETR when they ran that story back in February. Misinterpreting ETR should be familiar to you.

That's why they cannot allow ACB to take the bench. Sullivan (which protects them) is in jeopardy.

You can only deduct 60% of your AGI as donations so there is income there.

Our media... they never provide any evidence. They never even provide sources..yet everything they claim is assumed to be 100% factual by other media sources. You would think that our media would be held accountable after a few of their factual claims were proven false.

Slandering is a tool used by both sides whenever they run out of options.
The bubble some of these people are in is amazing.

I know typically slander and libel laws make it very difficult to win things when you are a public figure.

But this is a specific statement. Making very specific claims.
