how he told Ukrainian officials
Did he just go off on his own saying that? Maybe he's the one who needs to be charged with a crime.

Adam Schiff. "Amb. Sondland, you see what Muelller did to Flynn and a few other people that did absolutely nothing wrong. We can do that too. They are in jail and/or their lives are ruined. Now, I'm not pressuring you or anything, but what, again, do you think your recollection of Trump's interaction with Ukraine was?" "umm... now that I think about it, a quid pro quo?" *Schiff nods approvingly* "There, that wasn't so hard, was it? Now just amend your testimony and we'll be good."
I’d be willing to bet good money that this isn’t far off from what really happened.

Update? You mean lie I was lying then or I'm lying now. Sounds like he's lying now since he has already been captured saying the reverse. Why? who knows.
A circle jerk is all we have about nothing. Since no laws have been broken. The president sets foreign policy and it is based on what's good for the American people. The president is constitutionally bound to enforce the law when it comes to tax payer's money. And he insisted on that.
Witnesses have the right to "read and sign" their depositions and make revisions/changes (including "substantive" revisions/changes). However, people rarely do and this is not changing a "no" to a "yes" but essentially changing a "no" to a "he killed her and painted the walls with her blood while singing the Willy Wonka song...that just slipped my mind before."

So, what you are saying is they were not withholding because of Biden, but because they didn't want the funds to be used for nefarious reasons?
Hundreds of millions or more in Ukrainian aid got pissed down the drain under Obama. Trump wanted no part of that kind of waste. He made that very clear. He also wants the EU to contribute. They haven't. Those were the two reasons for withholding aid.
Sen. Rob Portman detailed this in late Sept/early Oct. He met with Trump about Ukrainian aid. Corruption and EU contribution were the two Trump objections. Portman convinced him to give the new President a chance. Trump assented to Portman's request. So the funds were released.

I'm thinking it has more to do with him not wanting to go to jail for lying to congress.

Even if it's not, It's what I would use in my opening statement if I were Nunes, and then claim I was just being funny.
Everything should have been halted when Schiff did that phony opening statement. It was obvious the Dems had no reason for an impeachment "inquiry".
The American public that doesn't get this shouldn't be allowed to vote anymore.

So was he lying the first time or is he lying this time.
But either way he's a liar.
I wonder if Schiff's staff had to prep him like they did Cohen?

It's simple - - -
"Hey, we are about to give you $400M...can you please announce your commitment to end corruption which includes figuring out who was corrupt before. We don't want to give you $400M for free, so you can just give it to your energy buddies and not military and humanitarian aid. Thank you."
Oh, BTW, Biden threatened to withhold $1 BILLION if they didn't fire a "corrupt" prosecutor investigating his son....

Why does sondland think it was Quid pro quo when Trump told him it wasn't before? this is just confusing.

Of course. But that idiot even said "other testimony had refreshed his recollection". There's a reason you separate witnesses. It's so they CAN'T influence other witnesses' testimonies.

And then watch Schiff very closely as the color drains completely from his face.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I agree.

Yeah, usually when a witness makes a change after reading, it's clarify that their child's name is spelled, "Cleetorias" and not "Clitoris."

You can word it however you want but
Withholding aid until a corruption investigation is dropped is always and forever will be worse than withholding aid until that corruption is investigated

So he has been on record both under oath and not that there was no quid pro quo but now all of the sudden after having his memory "refreshed" he changes his tune? Which lie are we to believe?
Posted on 11/5/19 at 3:27 pm to Hurricane Mike
Sondland said he "presumed" the aid was tied to corruption probe. There again someone's opinion. We have the transcript...and the statement of the President of Ukraine... no Quid Pro Quo!

Mr. Sondland said, he had become convinced that military aid and a White House meeting were conditioned on Ukraine committing to those investigations...
