Not that it makes it right, but OP left off the important detail... This would be at transportation facilities (rest stops, airports, or train stations).

Its not every restaurant.

Still stupid, will just mean CFA pulls from those places and the space goes vacant.

If necessary, Chick-fil-A will say TTFN, pending a SCOTUS lawsuit in which NY will be slaughtered!

The state would be fine with that because it means harassing CFA.

Kind of like DC and Chicago losing various gun suits.

Well... there is a contract between the state and CFA. The state can breach it and pay damages or make a law requiring all those new contracts to stay open. Can't change the old contract to conform

Don't care. CFA sold their souls to the degenecrats feet washing, so not gonna worry about them getting eaten by their own.

They lost that old school conservative support they use to get.

If they are already in place then I'm assuming being closed on Sundays was apart of the contract. This has been known for decades, so NY can't get upset and renege now.

These are at rest stops. The state shouldn’t have entered in to a lease if they required service 7 days/week. Renegotiate at renewal.

If it’s a private lease - they can go pound sand.

Many Democrats in the state didn't want CFA to be allowed in the rest stops when the state planned to renovate them and bring in new eating establishments because of CFA's supposed history against gay, lesbian, etc however they didn't get enough public support to keep them out. SO, they're trying to find a different way to eliminate them by saying they shouldn't be allowed in the stops because they're not open 7 days a week. If they're going to use that argument then any business in the rest stops that aren't open 24/7 shouldn't be allowed.

So it's basically just like renting space at a mall. They have requirements about when you have to be open in that case too.

Wasn’t there a Raising Canes at an international airport that served breakfast?

It was part of their contract that they had to have breakfast.

The OT would go into meltdown mode if Todd Graves introduced breakfast at all Raising Canes in the states.

Canes can launch chicken finger biscuits with a spicy maple syrup sauce on a flaky southern baked biscuit.

And for you other Southerns that love biscuits and gravy, you can order biscuits and a white sausage gravy with splash of Tabasco.

They expect every restaurant to be open every day? Or are they only targeting Christian restaurants that are closed on Sundays?

Wouldn’t surprise me to see CFA cave. Does anybody remember one of the Cathy sons apologizing for slavery, groveling and shining the shoes of a black man on stage (or maybe he washed his feet)? I’m all for an attempt at reconciliation and making amends but I’m quite sure we’ve done enough of that and race relations are worse than ever.

Will they pass a bill that makes other businesses open on days they’re normally closed?
