Seriously...have most of the dimwits in this thread never bought a house? Are y'all telling us that you have no fricking clue that there is often a difference between the appraised value for tax purposes...done by city or county employees...and the appraised value for the purposes of securing a loan, which is always done by private appraisers? The private appraiser will often go along with the value the borrower and the lender want so that the loan can go through

Many tax assessors will automatically change the assessment of a property to the selling price upon transfer. It's an easy way to do it, checks the box for a "regular" assessment and you can bet the property owner won't bitch because they just paid that amount.

any vile filth that thinks this is no big deal can GFT.

if this happened to you what would you do?

This is ludicrous. So you think this will or should be a win in Trump's favor on appeal?

New York Judge Rules Without Trial, Jury or Verdict, That President Trump Must Dissolve All Business Interests in State

Has SFP & boosie weighed in yet? Are they team lawfare bloggers? Or callously think this is no biggie because it can't possibly survive gunning Trump in this manner.

How about that this ruling happened is a travesty within itself?

I believe the New York judge did this to facilitate his bailing out of his job responsibilities . Get overruled then claim inability to be fair. He will be free to play golf next Wednesday rather than have to deal with the stink of his court house garbage.

While banks will do some level of due diligence, for a client like Trump they won't do full appraisals of his 75+ properties and all his holdings.

Unsecured loans often require more due diligence that a collateralized loan. It is foolish to think banks just take the borrowers word as fact.

If you live in the tri-state area you’ve know people in the last few decades that have been screwed over by the Trump syndicate. My family knew lots of people in the trades, they rarely got paid on time if at all.

I find it interesting that as Trump was on this alleged decades-long felony spree in NY, no one thought to bring him to justice? No one? Quite the opposite. He was celebrated and exalted by the blue leadership there as a champion of the city. He bathed in celebrity and fawning devotion by the very machine that now wants him hung. I wonder what changed.

Have some of you Trumptards finally figured out why he always refused to release his tax returns?
Where would property values of a corporation be shown on a shareholders tax return? What line or schedule would that go on?

Exactly this. He won’t respond to you.

It never ceases to amaze me when someone on here calls everyone else dumb….when they clearly have no clue what they are talking about.

Do you think Trump Org was doing anything differently on their books than any other big developers in NY?

Isn't that SOP for the industry?

For John Q Taxpayer absolutely. For the Ultra Wealthy who are measured in billions, not so much.

You don't need to trust me though, if an in depth independent appraisal of assets had occurred they would have been part of the loan documentation and there would be no case.

NY judge. And the average judge thinks that, in their courtroom, THEY are God.

Living in NYC all those years, I noticed that he was celebrity frequently followed in local news when he used to be a dem.
