re: NPR news lead story: Pelosi assault

Lead NPR radio headline was of Biden linking the attack to January 6th and violent MAGA Republicans.

That is what you would think if you were a low-information voter who occasionally follows the news: This was a Republican hit job (right before the midterms mind you).

Prediction: They’ll slow walk news stories where they will say “the victim knew the attacker.” But they can’t figure it out and no one is cooperating.

True dat - I was leery of the first report that he was 'recovering to be released' because in almost any real attack involving a hammer, the actual survival of the victim would be a dicey proposition.

Then to find that HOURS later they discovered he had a fractured skull requiring immediate surgery just seemed a little suspicious to me. ( I make zero claims about medical expertise - basing my options on acquired knowledge from observing the effect of hammer blows on inanimate objects - plus those involving my own thumb.)

I'd more likely believe the surgery was to produce 'evidence' of an attack rather than to repair it.

Is Ted Kennedys neck doctor still on call??
