Health leaders are making new recommendations for people with natural immunity against COVID-19.

Earlier this year, people who developed immunity from having a COVID-19 infection, were told they should wait 90 days before getting the vaccine, but health officials are now saying it is better to get it right away.

Jefferson County’s Dr. Wesley Willeford said waiting 90 days was only previously recommended because the supply of shots was so low. But, state health officials said now there are more than enough doses.

Willeford said once you are out of the ten day isolation period and fever free, you should get the shot right away, because you get even more protection.

“People who have had natural COVID-19 infection, followed by COVID-19 vaccine, really have a incredibly strong immune response that may be stronger than people who have just been vaccinated,” Willeford said.

I question the ethics of giving vaccines for people with immunity. Isn't that exposing someone to an unnecessary medical procedure?

Oh my God!!!!!!

He wants to kill people by vaccinating them!!!

He should be arrested!!!!!

Good help us!!!!!

Or maybe, just maybe they are telling the truth.

Now whether that additional protection helps more than the baseline from infection or vaccine is a question that should be asked.

Their flip flopping has made this difficult to believe.

Every news channel interviews a different medical specialist
every night....and they ALL have a different take!

I don't believe any of them! I do believe they are being paid to promote the narrative of the new station.

So it’s not because of the “science” just due to lack of supply at the time .

These folks would make great meteorologists . Just making it up on the fly

Pretty interesting point, guy. Not that they would give the first damn about it if they're aware of that possibility. But interesting nonetheless.

We just love to lie about everything. I thought the reason was due to your body still having the antibodies and your own immunity

It’s pretty stupid honestly.

The recommendation is to wait 90 days after receiving the MAB therapy because it may make your response less pronounced and therefore the vaccine less effective.

Seems like that logic should also apply to your own antibody response. Makes no sense to recommend to someone to run out and get vaccinated after being infected.

They cannot get rid of all the doses. I wonder what the shelf life is.

There is absolutely NO DATA showing breakthrough cases of previously infected Covid people is an issue. There is significant data showing breakthrough after vaccination. Significant in the sense that it happens but as of now there is much to be concerned about health wise other than just minor cold symptoms.

It will increase the perceived efficacy of the shot.

Not sure it will do anything actual.
