You're still a registered Democrat.
They attacked gun rights.
They attacked free speech.
They attacked women's sports.
They attacked schools by placing sexual orientated grooming material in the school libraries.
They attacked the civil rights act by using skin tone, gender or sexual orientation as a basis for hiring.
They attacked reality itself by claiming that everyone who criticizes them... are racists.
They've placed biological males into women prisons, despite knowing they were going to rape the women in there.
They oppose the notion of only American citizens voting in elections.
So so much more.

I was a registered Democrat, but immediately left after Obama's first term. I'm not really Democrat or Republican. It's just that my voting is leaning more towards Republicans over the last 14 years.

The problem with Democrats is that they allow the farthest left of their constituency to drive their policy. There isn’t a ‘conservative’ Democrat anymore. The net effect is a monolithic voting block that is far more radical than the mean.
The problem with Republicans is that they alienate the farthest right of their constituency (ex Massie and Paul). Conservative Republicans are becoming extinct. The net effect is a more compliant voting block that is more willing to compromise.
The result: Democrats are running toward socialism, Republicans are slowly compromising their way there. Either way, we are heading the wrong direction at a rapid pace.
