Iran had any other viable options, they wouldn’t be signaling that they want negotiations

This!! Xs 100000000

Iran is the equivalent of a retard winning the powerball, and then watching them go broke.
Iran leaders are morons with power. They have no clue how to stay there, because it was forced on the people. So they use radicalism as the mechanism to hold power.
Radical, is exactly that..RADICAL. because it goes against all other normal behavior.
They have oil, and that's their powerball. Morons with oil.
They have no clue what else to do, and be able to hold power.
Guys, that's why Trump is dug in saying he'll no to negotiations. Let Isreal eliminate the dumb leadership, simply by stalling the negotiations.
After that, all we want is those nuclear facilities turned to dust.

Side note....they sell Russia 90% of its oil. By eliminating the regime, new power has the controls over what is sold to Russia. Which gives the world another tool to help contain Russia if needed

Because that's worked so well in the past? The international community (mainly through the IAEA) has made deal after deal with Iran, but Iran keeps failing to keep up their end (google issues with their "undeclared sites" just for one example).

now would be the time to use the bunker buster. Since the IDF has ripped the lid off, Iran has only more incentive to push forward to make a nuclear weapon. We really can’t afford a religious zealot state having those weapons. The IDF has cleared the skies…but if we wait too long, the Chinese or Russians will gladly sell anti-aircraft weaponry for some cheap black market oil from Iran. Netanyahu knows that he has backed Trump into a corner on this one. I think he green lights it…and it’s the only call he can make.

Using a bunker buster to obliterate said material and or weapons creates no radioactive cloud of cast off?

IMO, the risk is serious but not apocalyptic, more akin to a dirty bomb than a reactor meltdown.

is it all contained at the bombed sight?

Pretty much except for the UF6 gas that would be released and kill much of the surrounding area especially at Natanz (which is shallow). The others cannot be reached by bunker busters.

It's really interesting how many of you left-leaning moderates are also neocons.

I think bunker busting would have already happened if Israel or US intelligence knew they would have been effective.

I don’t want us in a long drawn out war. However the Iranian regime has been a pain in the arse for 45 years and cost us countless billions dealing with them.

If we can drop some heavy ordnance and ruin the regime once and for all I think long term we come out ahead. Just get it done in less than a month

also think we need to figure out how to legally have unskilled workers come to this country to do the jobs our people aren’t willing to do.

To the best of my knowledge, the US has always had a legal means for Mexicans to come in for unskilled work. We used to call them migrant farmers.

So, this argument is specious. The hubbub is not migrant workers, since they return to Mexico, but the immigrants who seek to remain permanently without authorization.

I voted for the no new war president. With that being said, I'd be ok with the US getting involved ONLY to deploy the MOP'S. Drop them, destroy the target, and get out. Make it clear to the world this will be our one and only involvement in the matter. And that is only if Iran doesn't come to the table ASAP and settle this diplomatically.

No. That’s why they are returning to us. My guess is we have them, NATO has them, Russia and China has them, but I doubt many other countries have that technology.

Sounds like Israel is in the market for some bunker busters then. Call up Boeing and buy some. This isn't our fricking war nor should it ever be.

Look, I know the GOP is doing their best to both make their MIC lobby happy to launch some missiles as well as gum up the mid-terms so they don't have to be in control of anything. But I'm all out of fricks to give about middle eastern wars.

Go kill some other country's kids. Not mine.

Dumb take, sorry. No one has backed anyone into any corner. Trump, for the 5 billionth time, has no interest in regime change. He has been very vocal for years about not allowing Iran to have nukes. Stop spouting nonsense. Nothing has changed we are not going to war.
