ukraine, bbc and others reporting russians sabotaged to shut off gas to europe for years (if not permanently).
the theory is that after china / india applied pressure during sco summit, russians decided to go full court press; annex, shut off gas, pump 300,00 soldiers into the annexed areas, threaten west to stop supplying further weapons etc etc.

In all likelihood committed buy RUSSIA as a covert attack on European nations to punish them for supporting Ukraine. It is no skin off of Russia's nose to vent off excess gas capacity and watch Europe cry. They are making a point and using plausible deniability for themselves while at the same time casting aspersions at others such as the babbling idiot Demoncrat in the White House.

so from my understanding, we monitor just about every russian sub. it is rare we ever lose track of one, it happens, but our technology is so advanced that losing a russian sub is rare. also the only navy truly capable of silent activity is the US. I'm not sure even Britain has subs as quiet as ours.

They control the supply. They aren’t under any obligation to supply. Why would they blast off both arms of the pipeline at three points? Makes zero sense. This was not Russia.

Yep. And because dumbass threatened to do it they have the perfect cover to blame the US. By it being an attack on the pipeline Russia get to cut them off with no blame.

They could simply cut off the line and still have a bargaining chip. Their position is weaker without the pipeline, it makes little to no sense for them to sabotage themselves. My guess is the US, the commander and chief has already spoke about this very thing and said we would do it.
