That's fine. These people have learned nothing from history. When all of the straight white conservative males have left or been imprisoned, these morons will wonder who is going to feed and clothe them similarly to Zimbabwe and South Africa.

I’m going to preface this by acknowledging that I am currently posting this message from rightful Lakota tribe land.

With that being established and respected, what Virginia is doing by removing confederate statues is the rightful thing to do. Besides, we don’t celebrate losers.

Do you think the Lakota’s would have benefited if the Louisiana purchase had not been done?

Funny thing is, “we” had no part in the win, the loss, or why someone might have chosen to celebrate it either way.

I guess some people are always clamoring for something to pat their own backs on over, though.

Maybe, just maybe, there is some Federal land in Virginia that can be used for historical monuments.

There's no such thing as rightful Lakota land. Hell there's no such thing as indigenous Americans unless you definition of indigenous has no fricking meaning at all

I dont see this as right or wrong.
But if this is what the local citizenry of Richmond Virginia wants, I am not going to criticize them.

They get their playbox to govern as they please.
Stay out of my playbox in Georgia.
It bothers me when nobodies from Minnesota get political about that happens in my backyard.

Didn't expect this board to get so mad that they are taking down statues of famous Democrats.

“And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. ‘Who controls the past,’ ran the Party slogan, ‘controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.’”- 1984

Fair enough. Just a minor correction for you.

Where are the lefties historical societies fighting this crap with lawsuits?

There should be a lawsuit stoping them from destroying them.

Lefties will celebrate people like fentanyl Floyd with statues though.

Democrats are disgusting evil scum.

What makes it rightful Lakota? Would the Crow or Pawnee agree?

The law of land has always been 'you can keep your land if you can keep your land.' That applies to the "Lakota tribe land" as well. Were they able to keep their land?

Humor us, in your view, who gets to decide who has a "rightful" claim to a given tract of land?
