I’m sure they are. You sound like you are in primary care; I am not. Hard to compare clinic numbers, but the absolute most I’ll see in a full day is 70. Usually closer to 50

I diagnose and treat the side effects I've mentioned. I wouldn't expect you to have the same insight. You seem dismissive of primary care and our intellect. I'm not your average PCP. I did this because I wanted to and was in the top 3% of my class. I won numerous academic awards in med school, most notably in microbiology/microanatomy. I've been honored by our state EMS services for my contributions to emergency medicine and coordinating early stroke intervention with UAMS via telemed on our trucks. I'm the local medical director for 2 of the largest defense contractors in the nation and they certainly seem to appreciate my insight.

I'm not the person you want to get in an intellectual pissing match with. Especially when as a surgeon I believe, you aren't in a field to see and experience what I do. Just as I'd be if I were to try and challenge you on topics more specific to your field of specialty.

You can continue to believe the false narrative that you have taken as gospel.

This is you assuming. Those who preach that the vaccine is the cure all blah blah blah are dangerous, just like those who make it seem like people are dropping dead left and right from it. What started our debate was my taking exception that you thought it was likely to die after the vaccine (or more accurately, you disagreed that it was “not very likely”). Believe it or not, it’s possible to have a more nuanced position if you don’t see everything through a hyper partisan prism.

But if you are still 100% on board with the shot being safe and effective

Another thing I never said.

What specialty are you in that makes you such an expert?

Irrelevant. I know how to read and appraise literature, and that’s what matters.

True

Agreed.

As do I, but when what I'm told doesn't match what I am seeing, I refuse to be a lemming. My partner took your stance. His dad died one week after his first booster. Thrombus in two stents and a vessel that had less than 20% lesion on cath 6 months prior.

The literature can be wrong and has been quite often over the years. Those of use with exceptional clinical skills and judgement tend to notice these trends earlier than most and are often derided for not trusting the literature.

My stance is that the vaccine isn't nearly as safe as they say it is and we still have no clue what the long term side effects will be. I feel more confident and justified in my stance with each round of booster.

It's easier to fool someone than to convince them that they have been fooled.

Most people would also parrot the opinion of the majority and be wrong than stand alone and be correct.

Keep getting/giving them boosters. The argument will eventually settle itself.

Heard on local news a couple days ago, several Louisiana universities requiring vaccine to attend this year. Xavier was the only one that stuck but I suspect most of Louisiana universities require vaccine or no education for you.

Nah, not in Louisiana. Legally LA schools have to provide the option to opt out. They can strongly suggest taking the vaccine but students can opt out according to LA law. Other states are not so fortunate.

I think I'll Trust science over a bunch of knuckle dragging Trump tards on the tiger rant political board. Billions of the shots have been given around the world over the last couple of years with no known side effects and billions of positive outcomes saving millions possibly billions of lives.

Note that the total number of deaths associated with the COVID-19 vaccines is more than triple the number of deaths associated with all other vaccines combined since the year 1990.

LINK

If the left wasn’t pot-committed to these vaccines on an ideological basis, they would’ve been removed from the market long ago.

It’s like both sides worked together to dupe the public into taking it.

That link is the same as saying that people wear blue shirts, people who have worn blue shirts have died, therefore wearing blue shirts causes death. The logic is all messed up. Billions of people have gotten the shot, many people who have gotten the shot have had Strokes, therefore getting the shot cause of Strokes. I didn't read the link but like all these kind of links and so-called studies have faulty logic.

No. It’s not. You’re a fricking moron and you shouldn’t try to discuss this with anyone ever again.
