One of the alphabet MSM channel where I was just at was doing a report on the Biden plan to possibly stop the gas tax temporarily (so they say). And of course the person doing the report had to misrepresent the situation…while showing gas stations with $6.29 for regular or $7.19, etc, this moron doing the report says “If the gas tax is lifted, prices will PLUMMET immediately by $.18 per gallon.” Really? Plummet? Still over $6-$7 but the price plummeted? These shills have no shame. Maybe it drops by $.18…that’s the proper word, drops…plummets my arse!

This Fourth of July, you can save 18 cents on a gallon of gas!

Say thank you to your government overlords, peasants!

Temporary drop at best. It will cause a surge at the pumps, increasing demand while doing nothing about the supply-side issue and prices will just go right back up. This is a stupid idea that solves literally nothing.

Great. Reduce the price of a commodity that is in short supply all the while increasing the deficit via suspension of a tax. Also, earmarked taxes for road maintenance while your ONLY legislative victory is an infrastructure spending.

18 cents a gallon is at best $5 a week for the average American, if that. This is literally nothing, and they will blame the tax holiday for crumbling roads in 6 months.

4.61 vs 4.79 isn't much of a difference.

Store owners will just hold the price up to offset a good bit of that, more profit for them. Talk to any store owner, they will tell you the way you make money off of gas is when the prices are falling. People are already used to paying a certain price, and when the cost drops, you just hold the retail price where it's at for an extra day or two.

I think the average savings per driver over the 90 day period would be like $43. That’s enough to treat the family to a dinner at Raising Canes. One Love!

18 cents...wasn't that our average 4th of July cookout savings last year?

Exactly, I say this not as an “Baller” but $.18 savings per gallon will not impact my fuel consumption at all.

No, that was 16 cents. Don't you dare try to downplay the progress we're making here.

Stop tax
Price drops
Demand increases
Prices goes up
Give income goes down
O&G profits go up.

That’s why it won’t pass.

No it’s not. It’s literally something. You need to look up the definition of the word “literally”.

You can write, “This is nothing”, and everyone will understand you to mean, “This is figuratively nothing.” But the word “literally” means that you are NOT speaking figuratively, and the $0.18 actually equals $0.00.

3 month repeal of the gas tax would save most people about $50 over 3 months. It's not even worth doing honestly.

The Biden administration is standing on a train track, watching a train coming, and insisting they can stop the train at full speed. . . They are doing 100% of what they can to destroy gas. Plan one was to slow drilling and supply. Now they're going to decimate what we have left with a "gas tax" to make gas unavailable. . .

It is just a matter of time before the small population left supporting Biden turns on him. And there will be a large number that aren't going to be peaceful about it. Limit how much people can travel, go to the grocery store, go to work, and do things with and for their kids, it'll be hell to pay even from the liberalist of liberals.
