Not sure about the CV19 effect of NYC as a “financial center,” but the city IS a worldwide business center and is probably the number one destination for foreign travel. That factor probably gave NYC a jump-start of CV19 spread.

Hartsfield is the busiest airport in the US and it certainly made Atlanta a hotspot, but Atlanta doesn’t have NY’s density. You had it correct with your first reply.

Why are they such a huge outlier?

Corpus’ great contribution to worldwide culture. Almost excuses Selena.

Seriously, I handled a case out of Corpus years ago, and I have to say that the TexMex put SA to shame. I was down there weekly, and gorged myself every trip.

Are you really so desperate to be a prick that you’re going to go Buckley when I’m agreeing with you? This is a density issue. Again, you were correct with your first response.

I've been here for 8 years and think the Tex Mex sucks. You need to share this info with me

I think it is a combination of the two issues. Lagos is denser, but who the Hell goes to Lagos. Bërn is a financial center, but they live like human beings there.

I don’t want to do anything about it. We’re discussing why they have such a large percentage of deaths for the entire country.

True story. I am fluent in Spanish, but it took me months driving on the damned street to realize that “ Carancahua” was a Spanish spelling of Karankawa.

It has been too many years for me to remember any of the restaurant names. My favorites were the TexMex seafood places.

I am guessing that you are joking. For everyone else:

Karankawa is the standard English spelling for the Native American tribe that occupied most of the Texas coast. Pronounce is phonetically and transliterate into Spanish, and you get “Carancahua,” which is the name of the major street in downtown Corpus.
