Yup...there was a big uptick of respiratory with neg flu in late Dec.

I kid you not I have never had the respiratory infection like I had in January and February of this year. I went around for several weeks saying I’ve never not been able to clear out my chest with a virus like I have this year. Probably not Wuhan but it does make me wonder .
I had a weird course of what I thought was bronchitis. Frankly, I'm still coughing months later, so I don't think all of that was Wuhan, but just a strange course for me. I had a day with fatigue and I just slept all day - like a 4 hour nap. I rarely do anything like that if I'm not medicated.
Still not sure I ever ran much of a fever, but the cough and course were not normal for me.
Could have been Wuhan. Could have been something else. If it was the flu, it was the quickest flu recovery I ever had (other than the persistent cough now).

Same for me
Was in airports domestically around the same time
I am rarely ill, but had nagging symptoms that took about a week to get over
May have been another viral source, but this line of speculation is very interesting

Was 84 at the house today, but I suppose we need consistently warm weather.

I wondered this as well. I was sick back in early February and I wish I had gone and gotten tested for the flu now. I ran a fever for three days, very unusual for me, very bad chills, and extreme muscle pain. The overall symptoms lasted around 5 or 6 days. It was like no sickness I’ve ever had. Started with sore throat and muscle pain.
I had a flu shot this season, and I know it doesn’t cover all strains. A close coworker got sick right after me with the same symptoms and she tested negative for the flu.
So who the hell knows.

You saw the fricking NBA right? Imagine about like that.

I got what I thought was the flu last week and I’m still getting over it. I never went to the doc and just figured it was the flu. Wife had a cough for a day and baby didn’t get anything. I’m predisposed to flu-type bugs because of a chronic lung issue. I did get the flu shot this year, but they are always hit and miss. Who knows.

Did you have a sore throat?

but...tests man...TESTS
The new narrative? Hospital beds, especially ICU availability. (since MASH type units can be set up pretty much anywhere it will evolve rapidly from "beds" to "ICU")
Do try to keep up.

It’s actually the humidity that comes along with warmer weather that slows down flu.
When the virus is expelled via cough/sneeze it will bind to the water droplets (humidity) and fall out.

What's strange and yeah it's anecdotal, but I've had more friends and family get the flu this year than ever.

If this is theory is correct, Wuhan Bat-Eater Plague has likely already made its way through our population.

Yea China is the last country I would trust with legit detailed info @ the virus

Which is hilarious given that we lead the world in ICU beds (by a long ways) and much ink has been used to say how we overspend with too much ICU access.

Sore throat is only present in 10% of covid19 cases supposedly
Posted on 3/14/20 at 11:16 pm to the808bass
It’s becoming clearer by the day that we need to wipe China out! Roll Tide!!
Posted on 3/14/20 at 11:17 pm to Eli Goldfinger
I guessed this last week. There was no way they found the first bunch in China. It went unrecognized.

I’m starting to wonder if I should get tested for this respiratory thing I’ve had since Mardi Gras.

Yeah. It’s not a major symptom.
It seems like shortness of breath is pretty high up there.
