The argument I keep seeing was he wasn’t complying. They weren’t just trying to restrain him, they were beating the shite out of him.
My only real take away is his resisting, especially with a gun on him, was a very stupid idea. Could they have full detained him without shooting him? Yeah, I'd say so with the amount of guys on him. But he allowed them to make a decision that ended poorly for him. Take your beating, comply, and live another day... it still looks like they took the gun from his waistband/holster. Trainning as someone said above is surely a problem.

however, if he only has the one and the agents justification is he saw him reaching for it then it becomes harder to justify and looks worse for the agent/agency.
Wrong. Optics don’t mean shite legally. This is clearly justified all day long. They aren’t required for you to pull the trigger before they shoot you.
This is similar to Alton Sterling, which Obama’s justice department ruled was justified. The only difference is the firearm was removed a second before the shooting, which doesn’t change the legal standard needed to shoot.

Are you suggesting that people should not resist (what they perceive to be) tyranny? If this was Biden’s roving CDC squads enforcing a mask and vax mandate, this patriot’s killing would be justified?
If I went and sought them out, with a weapon, confronted, resisted, obstructed, etc. They should shoot me 12 times.
See how easy that is? Retard

I dont think thats his point. The point is that you need to strip away your bias towards the why he was there and just look at the actions taken. Did he deserve to be shot in that instant whether he is an asshat dem or not.

I have watched every video available so far. Slow motion as well.
I cannot tell much of anything in the scrum.
So far...
1) the agent in the jacket removes what appears to be a gun, less than a second before shots fired.
2) it appears the agents draw their guns simultaneously.
3) one angle looks like the agent who shot first was behind the suspect,.
4) you can hear the agents say "he has a gun!" Or something similar to that just prior to shooting
5) you cannot discern what happened without statements from the agents that were there. It's too chaotic.

quote:Well except that the weapon was removed prior to being shot. These overweight losers need to go back to mall security.
This will be a justified self-defense shooting all day long. The media and leftists will act like it was an execution while the facts are that he had a weapon and was shot. The fact that a second before the weapon was removed doesn’t matter at all.

The problem seems to be that these protestors have no rhyme or reason. They see themselves as part of this great resistance, but they are fighting just being arrested. If you are peacefully obstructing tyranny then you know you will be arrested - see the Civil Rights movement.

It seems like a lot of “small government, freedom” types here are OK with big bad government officials being judge jury and executioners if a citizen doesn’t immediately comply.
Seems like someone who hates maga always has a problem.

Having a weapon is legal. Resisting and obstructing is not. Resisting without touching his weapon does not give anyone the right to shoot him.

It’s just beyond stupid and putting the LEOs on a very precarious situation where they have to make split second decisions.
This is all on Trump. They’re sending these dudes into no-win situations without any support. This shite is going to happen over and over again because they’re being sent into places where the leftist politicians are encouraging their foot soldier to attack, and Trump has done nothing to make ICE and Border Patrol’s jobs safer.

So you think the cops are justified in killing anyone who has a weapon on them? The frick?

So you don't think someone who deletes his social Media, leaves his ID at home, brings a gun and 2 extra mags... is in any way a threat?
To answer your question, I’d consider that person a bigger threat than others given I knew all of that. But I still would take their gun and shoot them if they weren’t trying to harm me.
quote:That’s a fact. It would have been a lot better. But it didn’t happen. And now some ICE agents are potentially looking at serious consequences.
Would have gone a lot better, he would probably be alive, the law is there to avoid that situation.

Someone who is resisting with a firearm is a threat until proven otherwise. Hence why in every interaction with a law abiding citizen they have no problem handing the gun over until it’s complete.

I had an employee once who was a former cop. He said they were taught in the academy that when involved in an armed confrontation with a suspect, they were to empty their weapon to make certain the threat was neutralized.
I hope he misunderstood the training because this is horrible training by any certified instructor.

Just like the "Good" Incident.
Do you have the audio transcripts of what was said?
