Governors of Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina need to move.
Mississippi and Florida doing work already. Might not get North Carolina.

A district that includes NOLA could go red?

Short term, it sounds like it'll only net 1 seat by November.
Long term, this is not a win for any of us. Everything is just going to get WAY more jacked up. For example:
Colo can easily redraw 8-0 (D+3)
Ill can easily redraw 17-0 (D+3)
Cali 52-0, even after the new maps they just voted on. Another +5.
Expect all gerrymandering to keep getting worse before we get a real longterm fix.

A good break down. I'll post 3 dissenters next.

This is how you essentially get states to self select into some kind of disunited states. Secession will be the ultimate outcome, either explicit or implicit.

We need a constitutional amendment to do away with partisan gerrymandering forever.
"Safe" Democratic districts where you win the primary election (and therefore the general election) by being as leftist as possible and "safe" Republican districts where you win the primary election (and therefore the general election) by being as right wing as possible are a very large part of what's wrong with American politics.

Secession....within states? Because that's what the risk is at the state-level, with this new system.

If we had the SAVE act that would gain another 20-30 maybe more

I've got hope that this will eventually lead to an amendment (might be awhile) but I don't think the chances of what you're predicting are 0%.

I believe the only righteous move for mememaw and our state assembly, is just make us red throughout the state, no blue.
Don't like it and thinking about moving here, then don't move here.
Don't like it and already here, then NY is your place to go.

Do you honestly expect the shite bags in DC now to pass legislation that would change or eliminate the districts that they've carefully been manipulating to secure their political careers?
I don't. People will end up self-sorting into politically aligned states, resulting in even more polarization.
Not good.

You said it, brother. I can’t comment because I don’t know what the proper solution is, but gerrymandering isn’t making anything better.

The Hill: National redistricting war draws to a close
The Hill posted this at 6 a.m. this morning, just a few hours before the Callais ruling came out.

NOW? No, not at all. I even said "it might be awhile".
I do think eventually this issue will get enough bipartisan support to see real change, but we could easily be talking a decade + (or even way longer).

Its always been that or domination/submission from the point that the left opted to go globalist/collectivist and the right remained nationalist/pro-individual rights.
There can be no long term political stability until the two groups come back into a realm of disagreement wherein the divide is bridgeable within our current federal structure and again share a culture and long term goals or one side is dominated and their individual rights oppressed by the opposition or drowned out from a population/representative perspective.
But make no mistake, right now Connecticut isnt giving conservatives a fair representative government and neither will Georgia if all the people in Atlanta have one federal representative.
Objectively though this is all just a response to blue state gerrymandering as they usually take the next step in the escalatory zero sum game that is our current political environment.
