Mardi Gras 2013. Saturday night. Sophomore year of college.
Made my first trip ever to NOLA that weekend with a crew from college. Was 15/20 feet away on a shoulder to shoulder drunken Bourbon street near/in the French Quarters when a Black local saw another Black local he didn’t much like and pulled out his handy Glock on him to scramble a bullet into this other guy's skull point blank like he was Frank Lucas or something.
Absolute shite show of chaos and terror. Blood started streaming like piss from his head down the cobblestone. Everyone ran like ants caught in a thunderstorm to the nearest doorway of a building they could get to. 15 minutes later the cops come take a few pictures of the crime scene before they scooped up this just executed black dude’s corpse off the bloodied cobblestone road and the party resumed like nothing had happened at all. Thought to myself “ok, now I get why Americana pop culture always said there might be some actual literal evil energy in this place and that these NOLA Blacks were a TAD different than the ones I was accustomed to back home in Tennessee”
One of the more surreal and disturbing scenes of my life at that moment in time. Never had seen someone murdered with my eyeballs IRL before, pray I never see that again. Always wondered if they ever caught/convicted that guy who executed that dude in front of thousands of us…other than that though I was like “man, NOLA is charming once you get past the demonic energy, potential trauma inducing Black locals and perpetual sulphuric piss smell. so much neat history and gumbo!”

I agree but pulling that trigger in certain juristictions can mean a life sentence in prison because of the corrupt politics.

Certainly this is true of a lot of soft-brained lefties, but definitely not SFP. You are assigning all progressive idiocies to a nominally conservative poster who calls out MAGA on their stupid conspiracy theories and stupid legal theories. On both of these he is probably 90% correct.
