The heads of MLK and his wife should have been included since it is about MLK. IMHO it is a reach at best. If I was one of MLK's family I would be disappointed.

The "artist" won a contest for this atrocity in 2017. It wasn't just some one off commissioned thing where he surprised everyone with the unveiling. Let that sink in...this phallic nonsense was a national contest winner 6 yrs ago lol. What a stupid fvxking culture.

Interesting. The piece seems to take its inspiration from this photo. Note that Coretta is wearing the same bracelet and MLK is wearing the same 3-button suit-coat.
