This thread is perfect of example of how easily some conservatives are duped by media Snippets and cut aways. None of you railing on the new Speaker have any understanding of his stance or what his past votes and stances were, yet many are ready to call him a uni-party RINO. While At the same time y’all wonder why we lose so often.
So many PTers are every bit as bad as the cancel culture leftists they claim to abhor. One statement without full context and/or followup and he's a pos RINO.
The Republicans have a razor thin majority in the House. But conservatives are a small minority in the House. One man can't change the culture in one day. He can't unilaterally dictate MAGA policies at a whim. He's going to have to give a little to get a little, take what he can get when he can get it while trying to steer a house full of RINOs down a conservative path. Reagan did it all the time.
If you want Johnson to pass the kind of legislation we want, send him help. If you're in here flapping your jaw about Johnson and you voted for Garrett Graves or some other slimy swamp creature, the fault lies with you not the SOTH.

More like a 45 than a 180. Exaggerated much?

LINK kimdotcom twitter. instead of a news blackout, before they give ukraine another dime, maybe they should look at the coup the cia did and the deaths from snipers that caused the government to fall.

Look, buddy, we've all read the headlines. You're not supposed to regurgitate them whole sale. Look around and tell me how Putin is affecting your life worse than your own leaders.

By "best that they or we could have hoped for," you mean after the catastrophic foreign policy of the the Blowjob Bill Administration?
I mean that there was real hardship in Russia, and something of a power vacuum, and any number of truly bad things could have happened: famine, civil war, a coup, the rise of a Mao or Pol Pot-like figure...
Instead they got almost 20 years of stabilization and economic growth. Oh, Putin is rich. Putin fights wars on his own border. Putin had such-and-such person jailed or killed.
Boo hoo. He's right on the big questions. He tries to support the national interests of the people who elected him while our own leaders poison us with fentanyl and put fruits into our children's schools... as some of those poor "journalists" Putin was so, so mean to would probably do to Russia.

Pretty off the mark here. If you follow this board then all of our secret bio facilities there should mean something to us. Practically speaking, the #3 producer of grain is typically something that matters. Furthermore, Putin knocking on the door of a country that could trigger Article V really, really matters

I posted that it was obviously a 180, but when I read his quotes I saw that it was not.
He voted against the funding because Biden had no plan and was not accounting for the money. His position has not clearly changed.

Normally all that sounds reasonable...BUT the thing is...there are people who wonder "why now?". The Obama Admin let Russia take Crimea and didn't cause a stink over it. Bidens shenanigans there has come to light. If anything there is proof that Obama/Putin admins were chummy...ie the hot mic comment.
There is plenty of frickery surrounding Ukraine, and people are just left wondering. No matter how many people come on here acting like they "know more" than others (not you but other posters in this thread) no one is able to get past the top layer of that muck. We don't need civics lessons on "how DC works" we need to know/understand how/why Ukraine now is so important when it wasn't 5-10 yrs ago, under similar circumstances.

I actually love your response. None of us are looking at real intelligence and if they are they cannot say anything. So at the end of the day we are all talking out of our arse a bit. I agree with everyone that frickery is happening. That being said I do believe that Putin will not stop at Ukraine and would trigger Article V (which is why leaving NATO would concern me). I hate all the money we are throwing at this but it may be the most economical way to get rid of Putin without using American blood. Russia's demographic collapse is very real and we need to help it along in a not very drastic manner. After that Russia will not be able to field a military like this in our life time.

This ordeal with Ukraine has shown that RU isnt now or going to be the military might people are still thinking they are. Other than their nuclear capabilities. If they were they would have been able to do more in Ukraine. We've known for a long time that Putin has been concerned about their low population growth, so he can't afford to lose on the ground. Why people on the Right were calling for Obama to push him when he took Crimea, but Obama let him take it.
I get stopping him but your response doesn't touch the "why now" at all. Just "we need to stop him". Well I really doubt that whomever replaces him will be a 180 than him, so doesn't matter that we stop Putin for stopping Putin alone.
There's a lot of frickery going on, and money being spent for people to become rich, but there is no legit end goal other than "Putin bad".

He did 360, and followed it with 180. What he really did was 540.
Never trust a guy who 540s.

I'm not sure what has changed. Trump had something that going on with Putin that kept him at bay but he just spent the time reloading. Obama was terrible at foreign policy so it isn't a real surprise tbh. Maybe they have realized after the 14 or so wars what he is up to
