I never thought of Gates as such a gambler. But building a $50M home right on the beach just feet away from the scary rising ocean has to be really really risky. What a shame that his BFF, Jeffrey Epstein, isn't around to share a pot of tea and a massage there. It would take Bill's mind off of the imminent flood set to wash his new house away any day now.

I wish someone would do the math of how much surface area the oceans and seas have and how much ice there is.

I’m betting all the ice on the planet melting wouldn’t bring up the ocean that much.

Those little solar panels don’t make that mansion net zero. And you can bet that his generator is fossil fueled.

What would happen if it was found that he played a role in the COVID stuff, WHO nefarious stuff overseas, had ties to China which is a state sponsor of terrorism by way of their assistance to the cartels - I wonder if CA would move to take his stuff. CA loves to take things from billionaires.

We don’t have that global warming oceans are rising stuff here at the California beaches. That’s a problem for the Atlantic seaboard and especially Manhattan. Bill will be just fine.

The telltale sign that climate change is a hoax is the insurance underwriting.

Insurance companies will insure these beachfront properties, no problem. This is despite the fact that we’re told we have another 10 years before Miami is underwater.

If this was truly the case, these companies would not insure such a risk or the premiums would be more than ridiculous.

They forgot to include the 2-3 houses across the street with the same roof.

Also, the hypocrisy of Solar power that no one has ever mentioned. What is the damage to the climate from reflecting the sun and heat back into the atmosphere?

As I recall, the save the planet move started with the movement for more greenspace and trees to absorb the suns heat. Well, adding glass panels in large swaths of pasture / prairie land has to be extremely damaging to earth.

$50M home

I mean, it could flood in a month and if he stayed in there for a few days it would've been worth is money. Just build the next one a few feet higher and repeat.

FEMA

FEMA taps out at $250K-home & 100K-contents.

Trust me, insurance is getting their pound of flesh out of us.
Excess flood and homeowner's run in the neighborhood of 1% structure value on top of FEMA.

For all we know, Epstein could be on an uncharted desert island having one helluva good time with Ginger, Mary Ann, Gilligan and the little jungle boy.

OOOFFF! Gilligan little buddy!

This has been done.

Melting at the north pole would lower sea level as the volume of the displaced water by the floating ice is greater than volume of water generated from the melting of the ice above the water level. We know this because it floats.

Conversely, melting in the arctic results in runoff from the continent and raising sea levels.

The "experts" claim the balance favors a rising ocean.

I have not scrutinized the numbers.

Well to be fair, he can enjoy the Oceanside living for a while and afford to lose the value of the property.
