We need to decrease highly skilled worker importing too. We need to educate our native born people for those jobs. More difficult, but better in the long run.

This takes time and some cultural shifting.
All upstanding immigrants who are fulfilling an economic need should be welcome.
ETA: Agreed on the education though. Americans need to get more interested in STEM.

I don’t care what you throw in for Dems, if they make any sort of deal that involves 5+ billion for a wall, their base is going to go berserk. This is about 1 thing, and if there is wall funding of any sort, it will be seen as a massive defeat.

No it wouldn’t? Have had to use it several times in rural areas where we couldn’t find enough locals capable of passing a drug test (East Tennessee). Worked well for everyone involved.
