You can tell who the DEI hires are on here - they cannot comprehend the concept of honest hard work dedicated to a worthy purpose.

All they think they have to do is show up and gossip about how bad they are treated and who are the conspirators spying on them.

She won’t put up with any shite. She loathes liberal legacy media. She got bullied away from the NYT. She started her own media company and has $15 million subscribers. CBS bought her company for &150 million as part of her deal.

Do a bit of self-analysis on this, Cubs. Think about how you feel, based on actual experience, when people make posts about teachers jobs, and in particular how easy teachers jobs are. Now, then, extrapolate that to your posit about a corporate manager.

As a person running a corporation, there are obviously some "musts." E.g., understanding your company's, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, as well as well-considered short, intermediate, and long-term goals. But regarding individuals, two of my guiding principles are (1) know what your personnel are doing, and (2) place them in a position where they have their best chance to succeed.

It seems to me, that is what this woman is attempting to do, as was Elon Musk. Insofar as she may be emulating Elon, would it not make sense she was focused on duplicating his business practices, approach, and successes at X, rather than superficially "pleasing" Trump?

The only people at CBS (and ABC) that put any effort into their job are the film editors who chop up interviews to deceive their viewers.

And you consider telling staff to explain what they do at work in an email to be what you just described?
Sure. Just as you would with any corporate announcement.

Wouldn’t work output indicate what people do at work? This is just micromanaging for political points.

She's asking for their input... as a new Boss. Oh, the horror!
quote:

On Friday, she sent a note to CBS News staffers asking each member of the organization to detail what they do, and what they believe is working or not working, by Tuesday.

"I want to understand how you spend your working hours — and, ideally, what you’ve made (or are making) that you’re most proud of. I’m also interested in hearing your views on what’s working; what’s broken or substandard; and how we can be better. Please be blunt — it will help me greatly," Weiss wrote.

"I’ll read all of them carefully. And they will be held in the strictest of confidence. Then I’ll use your memo as a discussion guide for when I meet with most of you (ideally, all of you if time permits) in the coming few weeks," she continued. "The goal is simple: I want to familiarize myself with you — and I want you to do the same with me — to know that we are aligned on achieving a shared vision for CBS News."

And that's how you blow up a false narrative.

It’s probably why they are cleaning house and brought Weis in. They are going in a different direction.

Again, another low IQ moron that this board wastes time giving good faith replies to.

One day this poster is whining that women have no access to these types roles despite the overwhelming data that this notion is a lie.

Now, we have an obvious strong, capable woman taking on a new role, doing the right thing in order to determine the direction of success, and all this idiot poster can do is allow their TDS to take over and literally destroy the thread with nonsensical post after nonsensical post.

I work at a company that has new leadership. A female at that. She did the exact same thing when she took over a couple of years ago. Low and behold the company is now going in the right direction and then some. Did some people whine when she did this? Absolutely. It was the groups under unions as well as the usual trouble makers. Didn't matter. She did it anyway and it worked.

It is past time to stop replying to the low IQ idiots that just bog down threads.

Will MSNBC have enough room to take the reject in? MadCow and Rev. Al Not-So-Sharpton should leave to make room for the new bullshitters!

Let's hope she does not get the treatment Chris Licht got at CNN. The troops can stage uprisings.

Well that's a bit glib isn't it though?

Sound analysis would include David Ellison's hiring statement that Weiss will bring to CBS “rigorous, fact-based reporting and a relentless commitment to amplifying voices from all corners of the spectrum.” Something badly needed at the network.

E.g.,
quote:

After spending most of her first week on the job quietly observing, CBS News’ new editor in chief Bari Weiss spoke up at the network’s Thursday editors’ meeting — and the topic was the Israel-Hamas peace deal...

Weiss — the scrappy, 41-year-old journalist who was tapped to lead CBS News’ coverage starting Monday — had been relatively quiet during the network’s 9 a.m. daily editorial meetings this week, but on Thursday morning she was “making her presence known,” a source said.

“She was vocal on the bookings for the Israel-Hamas ceasefire,” the source said, directing people to get in touch with Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, the architects of the president’s plan to end the war in Gaza.
LINK
Oh the audacity! She actually suggested the novel concept of news people getting in touch with the architects of the president’s plan to end the war in Gaza!

What speaks volumes is it had occurred to exactly no one in the CBS newsroom to actually interview those two. Consider that for a moment.

That is how polluted the CBS news division is. “I think there’s some CBS old timers who would rather see the brand fail and lose their jobs than embrace change,” said a former CBS News staffer. “ It’s a snake pit.”

Condescension noted? I'm not claiming she has an easy job. I haven't given really any thought to her job, to be honest. This is all being done very publicly, which signals disingenuity.

In light of all the conflicts with and threats toward CBS from Trump, no.

Again, this is exactly what progressives want and how they operate. You can lie by omission as well, which is something they are great at.

Every time you have someone come into a progressive cesspool and fix it, this is the reaction from the low IQ morons.

Look at how pissed they were when Elon bought their censorship machine and fixed it. They reacted the same way.

I like how the same people that forever hold the toadie incident over bari pay no mind to the fact that even more recently, Tucker made comments about how happy he was Trump lost and he didn’t have to discuss him again.
