Same here - I think that a large majority of federal employees look at the 'job' as a penance they have to pay for receiving their 'paycheck' which they think they have some sort of birthright to receive.

I think they spend most of their time trying to figure out how to do LESS work during the day - how to draw out ANY assignment for as long as possible - are PROUD of the days they spend on their video games or party plans or latest player development on their favorite sports team or - etc etc etc.

I think that very few of them have an attitude of 'I'me here to get something DONE for my employer' - they think the role of the employer is to cater to THEM.

I think that the UNIONIZATION of federal employees is the major culprit in cultivating this thought pattern.

The Bureaucratic “Resist “ movement has to be stopped in its tracks. Edgy tactics via ‘Red Tape’ manipulation by anti-MAGA workers should monitored by setting production parameters with designated Team Leaders to crack the whip and any rebels caught stalling should be fired straight up. And DEI hires whose true productive abilities are insufficient should know that they need to up their game lest someone with real ability take their place. It is the disaster damaged people who FEMA serves and not the Socialist government agenda.

All day long. I wish in my career that I had been given the ability to terminate people around me who told me, "No. You can't get that approved." or, "That's just not how we do it." or who ghosted me to avoid responding 'on the record'. There are people who don't help. They do everything in their power to be negative and to become an impediment to overcome, which makes them feel powerful as a way to overcome their inability to administer critical thinking skills in relation to their position in the company. There are people who see the bigger picture and then there are those so caught up in the weeds it's impossible for them to be able to navigate any changes except the one path they already know. I dislike those people, for not only are they boxed in by their own pea brain, they do everything they can to box in others around them.
