No, that happened by him having large coattails, presenting a positive conservative agenda and term limits. Cleaning up voting in a couple of metro areas is going to impact presidential races a lot more than house races, especially in off years. Nobody’s putting together a huge harvesting operation for a rep or senator.

Attacking a straw man is moronic. Nobody has claimed that Florida is equal to DC, but it is an analog. Being skilled in navigating the political waters and building a coalition is a skill that can be applied in any political arena. It’s a skill that Trump doesn’t have.

Beware of polling. They don’t survey/weight younger voters enough, where Trump (within the GOP) is trouncing RD.
But the main thing that bothers me about political polls is the party weighting they often do, and found in the fine print of many polling methodologies. Trump won in 2016 by converting blue collar dems in Midwest swing states. Biden won in 2020 by cleaning up in suburbia and women… many of whom identify as small “c” conservatives.

Thinking that this is likely in DC in this day and age is naive.
Carry on in dreamland amigo.
DC will have to go through a radical transformation. The typical political process is ineffectual, even for someone as skilled as DeSantis.
A Scorched Earth political policy is the only legitimate means of change.
I trust Trump in that arena far more than I trust DeSantis.
I trust DeSantis to “rebuild” the DC political infrastructure far more than I do Trump.

Politically, no.
But I have laid out the only realistically feasible option in the past. His role for going scorched Earth would be as CiC, not President per se.
I don’t believe Ron would go that route.

They do claim that. Their argument has been that Trump signed EOs because congress would not work with him and Biden reversed those.
They stated many times that DeSantis will get it done right. That asserts that congress will be exactly like the FL legislature because they will give him what he wants.
They know this.
