The second of his 3 strikes was saying it to HR when they asked him about it.
When discussing the supposed "incident?" This ain't a strike.

The third was not apologizing for it months later to a meeting of black employees.
The article says he apologized to those who were in attendance and were offended. Why would he need to discuss it with anyone who wasn't there?

I realize that my privilege has made me intellectualize or otherwise minimize race issues like this. I need to set a better example by learning and listening more so I can be the leader we need.
Wasn't the guy giving an HR lecture about these are words we shouldn't use? Is he supposed to mime them?
And everyone so hurt...so demoralized they drove home listening to their favorite artists in their car that use it 24/7.
Left is the old USSR, you never know if you are a comrade or a traitor...whether you are crossing the line or not crossing the line...whether you will have a job tomorrow or not...whether you will be rounded up and prosecuted through media as a dissident...and sent to Twitter Gulag and the unemployment office.

frick you
He didn’t say anything about Netflix surviving. He said he wasn’t going to have anything to do with them
And I thought black people were equal
Apparently a mere word can make them run to massa big man for protection. Why don’t they just tell the guy to go frick himself and be done with it?

He should have followed the Chris Rock rule. In a car with all white guys listening to NWA, its perfectly fine to sing along. One black dude in the car, word is off limits.

This is funny considering in Luke Cage season 2, Shades, a white guy, says it to a black woman. That is a Netflix exclusive show, the hypocrisy is hilarious. The show just pushed out this episode and the rest of season 2 yesterday.

For non-Black people, the word should not be spoken as there is almost no context in which it is appropriate or constructive (even when singing a song or reading a script).
How about this: if the word is so fricking offensive, then how about NOBODY say it.
I'm not saying I want to say it, but frick anyone who says I am only allowed a certain vocabulary because of the color of my skin.

Doesn’t Netflix play “Django Unchained” and other movies containing the n-word on their service?

I can think of a couple scenarios where appropriate. Usually in a movie theatre, drive thru, or on the interstate.

A) you are full of shite
You are over valuing Netflix, it's not like they're the worlds only oxygen supplier. You must live a pathetic life to actually believe that someone couldn't cancel a Netflix subscription.

Thankfully its 2018 and white people can identify as black.
