This war has nothing to do with nukes.

And the entire world will know that Iran can shut down the strait anytime they want and the US won’t do shite about it.

We need to finish this once and for all. It’ll mean a lot of casualties most likely but that’s what happens in war.

Did you miss the part where we bombed them last summer solely at their nuclear sites?

Nah man, I've been in war, it sucks. I would much rather see Iran take the casualties by being bombed into oblivion...and see my brothers and sisters uniform go home to their families.

That’s exactly what it means. It means Iran closed the strait, drove up oil prices, attacked its neighbors and instead of finishing it because that would require a large commitment and likely a high number of casualties we just quit.
You're just a bitching libtard. Nothing is ever going to be good enough for you and the rest of libtard buddies.

Yeah. That was then, this is now. The focus has obviously not been on Iran’s nuclear program.

I’ve been in war too. But the job needs to be done otherwise we’re just gonna have to do this every few years. Our servicemen know what they signed up for.

Yesterday I asked you if you thought the force required to accomplish this goal :

quote:

Setting up bases inside Iran to allow forces to hunt down and kill IRGC units and leaders who will threaten the populace and new regime assuming they do attempt to overthrow the current regime.

would approach levels seen in Iraq. You said no. So when you say a lot of casualties how many is a lot in your opinion.

Y’all do know the Strait of Hormuz is closed and we can’t reopen it, right?

Awesome. Iran is making enemies by the boatload by doing that. (pun possibly intended)

That furthers the point that Iran is just out to F the rest of the world. That does them no favors, no sympathy.

And let's be perfectly clear, IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. Which the whole world knows they are making.

Didn't we take care of that six months ago? We were told that was a very successful campaign, and we all saw the visuals of the bunker buster destroying their nuclear facilities.

Apparently, we needed to escalate things a little further. Thats how things should be handled.

Punch them in the face once, then see if they want to talk diplomatically. Ok we tried that approach, now beat some arse. Continue to escalate the process until it works. Pretty standard way to solve difficult problems with troublemakers while holding the higher ground.

The gulf states may like to see the Iranian leadership weakened, but all of them are more concerned about a scenario of chaos and uncertainty and the possibility of more radical elements coming to power there.
Since January, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman, alongside Turkey and Egypt, have been engaged in intense diplomacy to pull Washington and Tehran back from the brink. This is not because they harbor any sympathy for Tehran, but because they realize they would be on the front lines of the Iranian retaliation, and what happens after if the regime were to collapse. And well now their fears are coming true.

Which begs the question, if the gulf states that would be in firing range of any threat from Iran, nuclear or otherwise, were more concerned about fallout of a Israeli/US lead strike that would destabilize the region, than Iran's military or nuclear ambition's, then what made us so concerned that we needed to do this now? Just because it represented a threat to Israel? Were the arab gulf states just being short sighted of the threat Iran represented?

That's why the current service members are loving this campaign. No boots on the ground getting IED's and sneak attacks. Just death from above.

It is one thing to root against the U.S, armed forces because your team could not cheat like in 2020, but being arrogant about it makes you look like a fool.

Yet I keep being told by acquaintances that Iran is “absolutely destroying” Tel Aviv.

Agreed. This setting them back business was last year’s strategy and it didn’t make a dent in slowing down their aggression.

Regime change is the only way.

Even if you’re right about those points, what difference does that make?

How does it help America?

Gains support for our cause. If we have to go back and hit them again, it won't just be us and Isreal anymore. We definitely need that support if a ground war were to take place, to share the load of casualties, so it's not just Americans.

What's so funny? Your inability to come up with a logical argument as to why I'm wrong is pretty funny

My man gets it. This needed to happen, and this way saves Americans
