Doesn't matter much, but it doesn't help either.

quote:

The nation's largest group of Christian churches on Wednesday called for the withdrawal of Brett Kavanaugh's nomination for the Supreme Court.

The National Council of Churches, which represents 38 denominations in the US, wrote in a statement on their website that they believe Kavanaugh has "disqualified himself from this lifetime appointment and must step aside immediately."

The statement cited a number of reasons for their demand, including Kavanaugh's behavior during his recent testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on sexual assault allegations against him. "Judge Kavanaugh exhibited extreme partisan bias and disrespect towards certain members of the committee and thereby demonstrated that he possesses neither the temperament nor the character essential for a member of the highest court in our nation," the statement read.

Translation - Dems don’t have the guts to vote him down and are trying to turn up the heat for him to withdraw.

I don’t think this will work out like they thought.

Now remember, boys, you need to act politely when confronted with your false rape accusers.

You would think a council of churches would approve of his nomination. Assuming he’s guilty, which I don’t, he would just be moving from one court to another, like suspected pedophiles were moved from one church to another...

What do they have to say about the people violating the commandment “Thou shalt not bear false witness”?

This is the part that killed me. I'm going to call you a groper, a rapist, and a gang rapist, as well as a liar and a black-out drunk. But if you accuse me of being partisan, well that is beyond the pale.

Let's see what our "separation of church and state" people have to say about this.

As a conservative Christian and as some one initially disappointed with the BK pick, I hope he gets confirmed.

The Church needs another Reformation.

The national leadership of church organizations outside of the OCA and fringe evangelical branches are severely pozzed.
