Ok then why is she so protected? Why are republicans so afraid? Why can’t moderate dems do what they likely know is right and concede that their political “career” could be over? God I hate politics.

I’m beginning to feel like I’m the crazy one.

When was the last time that happened?

Yeah, presidents have been doing it this way for a long time now.

Why you scared?

You misspelled Clinton.

Obviously that’s not a secret that could be kept until 2020. So for this to be a legit theory, there would have to be some near term benefit to “pretending” RGB is with us.

Are there any critical cases headed to the SCOTUS in the next month or three? I can’t imagine anyone pulling it off much longer than that. Even that length would be a stretch before people would notice.

I won't pretend like I would be looking forward to getting dunked on for an hour either.

Scared shitless of Trump making his case to a primetime national audience.

Trump could do that on any given Tuesday.

I agree that addressing all of Congress and the Supreme Court has a certain pageantry. But here it will just serve to remind everyone that she just bitch slapped him on the shutdown.

It doesn't matter. I was responding to this:
quote:

if Nancy is preventing Trump from upholding his constitutional duty

Nancy is NOT preventing Trump from upholding his Constitutional duty.
quote:

Why you scared?

I'll tell you why I'm scared...

We elected a man that said this while running for president:
quote:

And you know debt was always sort of interesting to me. Now we're in a different situation with a country, but I would borrow knowing that if the economy crashed you could make a deal. And if the economy was good it was good so therefore you can't lose.

The entire economy of the United States is based on the “full faith and credit of the U.S. government" which means this:
quote:

The full faith and credit refers to the full borrowing power of a government which pledges to fulfill its payment obligations in a timely manner. The U.S. Treasury issues bills, notes, and bonds as a means of borrowing money from the public to fund the government’s capital projects. These securities require that interest payments be made to lenders and investors periodically. On the maturity date, bondholders expect a full repayment of the face value of the securities.

We've elected a lunatic to the executive office.

At least today he showed he's capable of doing the right thing.

Shouldn't the "master negotiator" Donald Trump have received at least this one minor concession before capitulating like a total cuck?

Trump looks weaker and more pacific than Neville Chamberlain.

See, that's how you know she is winning. Because liberals are giddy right now and were all cursing how "hateful" she is. It was supposed to be the opposite with Trump.

Uh, no. She’s going to drag it out and do it at her convenience.

Kinda like the way you keep an office visitor waiting. It’s a power move.

What will be her excuse for not holding the SOTU address next Tuesday?

As much as I dislike her I respect her as a ruthless politician. If the gop has a dozen like her with conservative views the world would be a better place.

The Constitution also sets the parameters of the Executive Branch. That hasn't stopped the Dems from claiming Trump firing Comey or Mueller amounts to obstruction, even though he has the legal authority to fire both.
