I hope she blocks the President from fulfilling his constitutional obligation of delivering the SOTU address. The Trump administration should sue her and have the Supreme Court intervene

A letter is all that is required. She is stopping nothing other than one way a POTUS can deliver it

Of course she is. Democrats are masters at convincing Republicans to give them what they want, and then giving absolutely nothing in return. Sadly, Republicans keep falling for it.

I have to hand it to the Democrats, they dictate things, even when they aren’t fully in control.

The problem with this is that Republicans don't believe in government. So electing Republicans to government is like voting for atheists to be pope. They get in, and don't believe in what they're doing.

I'm kind of baffled.

This is from a wiki page about the SOTU,

LINK

"The State of the Union Address (sometimes abbreviated to SOTU) is an annual message[1] delivered by the President of the United States to a joint session of the United States Congress at the beginning of each calendar year in office.[2] The message typically includes a budget message and an economic report of the nation, and also allows the President to propose a legislative agenda and national priorities.[3]

The address fulfills the requirement in Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution for the President to periodically "give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient."[1] During most of the country's first century, the President primarily only submitted a written report to Congress. After 1913, Woodrow Wilson, the 28th U.S. President, began the regular practice of delivering the address to Congress in person as a way to rally support for the President's agenda.[1] With the advent of radio and television, the address is now broadcast live across the country on many networks.[4]"

Can someone explain to me under what custom or Constitutional feature Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House has the slightest say in whether there is or is not a SOTU address, or any detail of it such as security?

Is this a thing now? If for example there were a Democratic President and either or both a Republican House or Senate, they could deny the sitting President the opportunity to fulfill his Constitutional duty as detailed above?

Of course the dog and pony show is only a century or so old, since it was a written report before.

But exactly how does Pelosi get to say yay or nay to the whole thing? Looks to me like she is a bystander, not the decider.
