It's more than just eateries and the such.

We have a HUGE problem with workers for food processing in all areas. Out of 50 goods we service to Grocery chains, were down to 2o-sih, because the factories we have cannot keep up. We've already suspended service of 10 items(no workers, items that sell the least got cut), besides the 30 were not getting.

Another stimulus and UE stipend and were fricked, we will see major food shortages. And frick those nurses and doctors, you can live with covid, you cannot live w/o food. Better pray those peeps go back to work, and the truck drivers continue working, and many not retiring.

Food shortages would cause panic we ain't ever seen.

Folks, the problem isn’t so much that people aren’t working due to unemployment benefits. I sincerely believe we have too many businesses.

This is the dumbest take I’ve ever heard on this board.

Congratulations.

As the economy recovered under Trump from Bush’s Fannie/Freddie real estate bubble burst and Obama’s lost years of government regulation induced stagnation, the economy became healthy enough for consumer confidence and demand to increase. This was across the board but most noticeable in the service industry because of help wanted signs. But economic numbers showed increased employment and worker income. This was a very good thing.

After covid, the government shut the economy down. Businesses were closed and money was created and pumped into unemployment checks and stimulus grants. The economy was supposed to revive after wuflu shots were available. This occurred but government kept subsidizing low income people to stay on their arses, collecting “unemployment checks”, and not working.

Supply and demand. Service industry is operating again but its labor force isn’t. Unlike Trump’s healthy free market economy, this is an artificial government induced ill economy. We have artificially increased the money supply, and artificially reduced the supply of goods and services.

Too much money chasing too few goods and services ALWAYS creates inflation. And inflation increases the cost of everything including labor. The DNC/MSM Political Complex is pushing for another shut down guaranteeing stagnation.

Stagnation plus inflation equals Stagflation. Never thought I would see a Jimmy Carter economy in my lifetime!

Somehow I’m sure the DNC/MSM Political Complex will blame Orange Man Bad!

I agree with everything you say here, but that issue was WAY MORE Barney Frank thank George Bush.

Stated income, cash out refi's tied to LIBOR.... what could go wrong?

The saddest thing was the hardest hit were old black grandparents who had families living in paid off/nearly paid off generational homes... and lost them when the kids (in their 30s and 40s) "qualified" for the loans.

No it’s not!
As said earlier:Too big to fail is too big to exist!

It MUST be noted that the bubble burst because of the actions of Fannie and Freddie as protected by the Congressional Black Caucus, Barney Frank, and W calling the dogs off during the Richard Baker (R-LA) House investigation. Democrats caused the failure.

And Democrats also gave to big to fail.
Final vote on the 2008 Bailout Bill HR 1424
Democratic 172 63
Republican 91 108
TOTALS 263 171

The fact that you spew the 1% pablum is moronic. Most politicians of both parties ARE the 1%!

How come Obama and his Democrat Congressional majorities didn’t fix the “poor problem”?
1- They can’t.
2- They won’t, because they need the vote of ignorant voters to put THEM in the 1%. Old Barack sure is helping out the poor from his ($11.75 million) 1% Palatial Estate in Martha’s Vineyard.

And you are ether a poor ignorant that keeps drinking the cool aid, or your a reprehensible 1%er or a 1%er wannabe, who must parasitize the poor idiots to get richer through political favors instead of hard work that actually creates something useful for all.

Barney and the Congressional Black Caucus ran very loud interference for Fannie and Freddie during Richard Baker’s (R-Baton Rouge) hearing. But, it was W who knelt to their charges of racism, and failed to back Baker, while the bubble grew and burst.

Likely. And likely result of "free" money loans.

Why not open another store when you can avoid taxes and spend almost nothing borrowing the money to do it?

You can see the distortions of "free" money all over the place. We will be seen by history as being stupid for it.

Why didn't your Liberal arse mention Detroit being bailed out?

That's one of the reasons why you losers are loathed, hypocrisy.

NO ONE should have gotten a bailout.

9 million unemployed

Thousands of small businesses closed permanently during Democrat's shutdown

Your analysis of too many businesses is shite analysis...

Oh and 1 million illegals need a job and place to live...

So its 10 million unemployed

So all the businesses that went under in the last year made a quick reappearance and even more opened up on top of that? I'm not buying it.

That's what you got from my post?

NO ONE should be bailed out.

Republican & Democrat administration's should not be bailing anyone out.

I was pointing out you complaining about Wall Street being bailed out, but not complaining about UAW being bailed out.

Most Conservatives/Republicans (including me) think most people who are poor, are poor because of bad choices such as alcohol, drugs, laziness and/or a criminal record.

Most Democrat/Liberal people seem to think most poor people are poor because of bad luck.

That seems to be the difference in our thinking.
