The only way I could remotely see this being legal is if they are claiming unvaccinated workers pose a risk to public safety or something along those lines.
Who knows. I think that ruling is absolute horse crap. The Liberty Counsel has already filed an appeal of the ruling in the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, so hopefully it gets overturned.

That’s perfectly fine as a condition of future employment with the government. It’s not fine as a condition of existing employment. Biden’s EO will run afoul of some state constitutional issues especially in Louisiana.

All government contract are written to where they have an option period or an extension modification of the contract, and they are using this to add this language to the existing contracts.

Can you somehow get a leave of absence to extend your time?
A lot of big companies use a 3rd party to manage leave request and there is usually several different ways to qualify

$500 incentive to get fully vaccinated? It’s like they don’t understand at all why people are refusing to get vaccinated. Good luck with all that diversity and inclusion.
Looks like they might offer $500 to either begin transition or get married to someone in transition as well.

That is sickening to read.
Think about this. These type of people believe you can change your gender on a whim and will crucify anyone who even hints at questioning it. Imagine if they held trans people to the same standard and made them sign an attestation…. “I promise I’m a man and I will never look at another penis again. I understand that if I look at another penis it is grounds for termination”
These people are sick. You can change genders whenever you want or be pansexual, asexual. Transexual, etc. but you can’t have a religious objection to a vaccine unless you are absolute in the belief in their minds.

Under EUA you don't have to take it according to the law (which ain't saying much these days)
21 U.S. Code § 360bbb–3 - Authorization for medical products for use in emergencies
"WHAT IF I DECIDE NOT TO GET COMIRNATY (COVID-19 VACCINE, mRNA) OR
THE PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE?
Under the EUA, it is your choice to receive or not receive the vaccine. Should you
decide not to receive it, it will not change your standard medical care."

What happened with this case?

There is absolutely a current Federal mandate aimed at any company that is a federal contractor .
Here is a whole thread on it. It is broad and vague in scope causing it to reach deep into any company with federal contracts.

The effective date for the Federal Contractor Mandate is Dec 8th which aligns with the date in flexdogs mandate. Flex, is your company a federal contractor?

The judge denied the TRO in early March and Legaretta et al withdrew the TRO motion a couple of weeks later. Then a lot of standard motions and replies through the middle of August, no docket entries since then. The judge hasn't ruled on the motion to dismiss filed in June. Seems to be sitting and waiting for the trial docket.

Something tells me that this vaccine mandate is just the beginning.
More control over your lives is imminent with Biden.
But, nothing will ever done to welfare recipients.

Correct
My company issued the "get vax'd as a condition of employment too" letter and yes I'm a fed contractor.
I think I'm going to tell HR that I oppose the mandate because the EO is not a law, it doesn't support any current law (which is the purpose of EOs) and the EO hasn't yet been vetted in any federal court of law, specifically the Supreme Court. Plus the vax hasn't been through all of the steps necessary to receive full approval and once you get the vax, you can't "un-get" it.
Thoughts?

The federal contractor mandate is different as the president controls the federal workforce. He can issue EOs for federal employees and contractors

At a time when millions of people are quitting their jobs it just seems like companies are slitting their own throats when they threaten to fire people en masse.
It makes no sense unless they are just pandering to the gov't for special favors.

Contractually sure but this is not a "normal" contractual issue such as enforcing the Buy American Act, Don't Text and Drive on a Federal Installation (yes that's a real FAR Clause) or anything like that. This is issue that could eventually be deemed un-Constitutional by the SCOTUS.
