I've watched this absurd gender neutral insanity slowly take hold of our Armed Services. Then the insanity went on to include the transgender absurdity.
Never mind the argument that close quarter combat demands upper body strength. Upper body strength generally lacking in the female. Yep, there are a few exceptions. Didn't matter, the gender neutral lunatics wanted a gender neutral / transgender military. Their absurd logic? Whatever a man can do, a female can do it AND do it better.
So during fake President Joe Biden's administration we saw this absurdity carried to the extreme. Suddenly we saw evidence of fast tracking of females through the ranks in order to move them into higher levels of command. One of those fast tracked females was Rebecca Lobach. In spite of only having 400 hours of actual flight time, she had already attained the rank of Captain. Clearly, she was being fast tracked. And we know how that turned out.
The unfortunate incident on January 29, 2025 involving that AA regional jet occured just as President Trump's team was in the process of taking over from the disaster that Joe Biden's gender neutral Woke D.E.I lunatics had created.
The first job of Pete's Hegseth tenure as Secretary of Defense involved kicking the transgenders out of the military. To the screams, howling, and grinding of teeth in the MSM.
But what is forever burned in my mind is the image of that smiling young female soldier in Kabul holding that infant in her arms, just before that bomb detonated and killed her and her fellow soldiers. The same brave soldiers who arrived back home to us at Dover AFB in military authorized caskets......as Joe Biden glanced at his wrist watch.(hint: I wonder who took down the LGBT Flag that flew over our embassy in Kabul?)

I served 4 years in the Navy, and I agree with you about women serving aboard ships. Having said that, when you voluntarily join the military. you agree to go where you're ordered and do what you're told. No questions asked. End of story.

My son sure as frick did. If there is an incident involving a sailor being thrown overboard for drying fish in his rack that's my boy.

He was from Scotland, and killed a sailor on a merchant marine ship (slave trade) in a dispute over wages. He was arrested for it, but was able to flee to Virginia where some of his family members were living.
He died when he was only 45.

The military exists for the sole reason of fighting wars. If you didn’t sign up to fight wars for the United States then you shouldn’t be there. In fact, you don’t deserve to be there and the country deserves better than you.

I see you reference 90 days without a port visit. Is it correct that the Lincoln has been on their current cruise for 270+ days without a port visit? I'm curious where the Navy defines maximum sea duration without R&R. If they are at 3x what is considered the norm or healthy then some of complaints by family members may be warranted.
Yes they signed up to serve and execute their mission but at the same time taxpayers charged the CIC and military leaders to take care of its sons and daughters that serve as soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen.

The taxpayers charge the the military to fight and win wars. Anything else takes a back seat. The sailors who whined and complained about being at sea in a time of war are absolute cowards and I’m ashamed of them.

Kill people and break their shite. I used to tell my troops this all the time. I also used to tell them it’s a lifestyle not a job.
That being said When we don’t recruit on the truth of the military and recruit to the benefits we are preying on an unsophisticated population, we need to be brutally honest in our recruitment.
As a shop chief and then a First Sergeant I always counseled my troops to think through their re-enslistment options. That was the point to re think the relationship.

When our country is at war special circumstances come in to play. Are they ideal no.
Like they said what is it the Navy does. If she wanted to be on solid ground lets see i think the Marines and Army might have been ok. But then she might have to deployed to a ground war. How about if she is on a mission in Iran. At least she would be on ground.
I feel like it was her choice to join the military as we are not in a draft right now.
I dont want any of our military to be in harms way but thank God we have these people willing to defend our country.
I thank her for her service and hope she can learn to handle the situation.
Be proud of her and support her . She made this choice and will learn decisions have consequences good and bad.

He was a good navigator. When the decommissioned he was already out of active duty so the Captain took the big compass on the bridge and the 2 sextons he used to navigate and sent them to him. I have them now. I am thinking of donating them to the WW2 museum in New Orleans.
