Got an email from his teacher. Curt and to the point:

"loopback Jr is getting a minor infraction today for not wearing his mask properly"

Minor infraction means punishwork, excluded from any "fun day" events at school for a month, and loss of eligibility for "good behavior" award at the end of the year.

I think it's fricking STUPID to punish CHILDREN for this nonsense.

Thoughts?

Tell your teacher that’s unacceptable and you would like to meet with the teacher and her supervisor.

Start emailing her boss saying your kid sees her wearing her mask improperly

Kids shouldn't be wearing masks at all.

My 13 year old 8th grader came home from a BETA meeting last week and mentioned that at one point while speaking he had dared to pull the front of his mask away from his face (kept it in front but just pulled it out) so that people could hear him speaking, and the BETA sponsored fussed at him for doing so.

He then mentioned about 20 minutes later she got a personal phone call, and promptly took her mask down away form her mouth to speak.

Now...me having ALWAYS been a mouthy a-hole asked him if he pointed this out to her, cause I sure as shite would have at 13. He told me, "Nah...I figured she'd write me up for being disrespectful."

How old' your kid?

I hope this is public school, because if I was paying some twit to socially engineer my kid, I'd hate myself.

Pull them from the school and find an alternative.

Change schools. Better yet, homeschool or find a co-op.

For just a moment, set aside your personal disagreement with the specific school rule at issue. Imagine a DIFFERENT rule ... one with which you DO agree (e.g. no throwing erasers at other students during class).

How do you envision a school district being able to enforce that rule, if the District is precluded from inflicting any punishment for violations?

Do you think his issue is with the general punishing of his child, or what they were being punished for?

Tell him wear it properly. It is school, there are many rules. Are they all needed, probably not. But, this might allow the school to stay in person longer.

Quit being one of those parents who defends their kids behavior all the time.

Your logic is fricking dumb. "Don't pay attention to this rule instead pick another imaginary rule you like" are you fricking retarded? Classic liberal deflection.

I will NOT "pretend" this is a rule I agree with because that's NOT REALITY. Dumbass.

My kid has had 3 signatures for mask wearing, who cares.

Just inform your kid the teacher is a loser and try not to grow up like her

Yeah, and when the pedo teacher tells him to take off his clothes, he should also comply without complaint.
