There's being bad and then being so bad you willingly circulate that pic because you think it's a good one.

I seriously doubt a SS sniper is going to come off his scope once he sees a guy with a rifle perched on a rooftop

But if Level 2 was responsibility of the state...
Isn't that "Scranton Joe's" state, not that it absolves DS

Unconfirmed...but your buddy might be retarded.

Maybe he didn't see a guy on the rooftop.

That spot on that rook was too obvious. Concealment, access, line of site.
I don't give a shite what the textbook says- it is either incompetence or by design.
He didn't even have to sneak in. He parked a van with explosives right across the street (a blocked off street), grabbed his weapon, strolled across an open field with zero cover climbed a waiting ladder, and got 5 shots off.

I like how the first one in line brought his wife’s turquoise pistol to work that day.

A have a friend who is a former SS agent as well and he said all of that is horse shite.

That a sniper wouldn't come off the scope once he'd seen a guy with a rifle?

well, I wouldnt trust him on my SS detail.

I tried to read all that.... But....
No matter how many words are typed, this was incompetence by the Secret Service.

I appreciate what your buddy does and his expertise, but I disagree with him that it was textbook.
In another post, there was a graphic from the overhead view of the venue (sorry can't find that thread to insert here). Where the two sharpshooters were positioned, they did not have full coverage of the roof of the building where the shooter ended up.
A huge tree blocked their line of sight to that rooftop and obscured at least 25 percent of that roof. Guess where the shooter was.
If one of those guys had moved to the extreme right of their rooftop, then they would have had full view of the shooter's building between the two of them, and possibly been able to neutralize the shooter prior to getting the first shot off.
That, to me, was a huge mistake on the sharpshooters' part.

All of the professional counter Snipers say it was not.

That’s kind of scary. If I were a politician this would scare the hell out of me. Someone was allowed to get less than 150 yards on an elevated platform. I don’t know if you are a deer hunter but that is a pretty easy shot

It was probably “textbook” with respect to how it unfolded.
It was definitely not “textbook” to leave that roof unsecured.

My understanding is another sniper, close to 500 yards away, took the shot. If true, I’m sure they were on the same comm and were discussing the rooftop shooter prior to his shots.

You know how many issues we would’ve had over the years if it was “textbook” to leave a rooftop 150 yards away from a president uncovered while not responding to a hostile with a gun immediately?
Just pointing out that it wasn’t a President. Trump is an ex-President and a possible future one, but the security for the actual President is far greater.

Yes and you responded maybe he couldn’t see him. The “once he saw a guy with a rifle” is the kicker here
