"Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself"
Commie scum teacher assigned this sentence as part of my 4th graders writing assignment. Thinking about making an issue of it. So tired of the left trying to redistribute wealth and poison our childrens minds in every facet of their life. Even in schools! I thank Jesus Christ every day for hand-picking Donald J. TRUMP to overthrow the evils of globalism and the preservation of traditional American Values.

My son's jackass of a fourth grade teacher made the whole class write letters to our state senator asking him to stop POTUS' immigration policies because they are unfair. He's in private school now.

I have a tough time believing this simply because I doubt she would word the sentence that way

I think you’re looking for something to be triggered by at this point

Hey bmy and others,
Please explain something to me then....
How is MAGA racist then? Make America Great Again is what that acronym means.
Your side did that with a quickness. It was a presidential theme YOU MADE RACIST. People get assaulted when wearing these letters. Can't wear a MAGA hat in public. Kids can't wear MAGA shirts in school. Think about that. Our sitting president's slogan can't be worn in public. Nice job.
So please, get off your fricking high horse now.

Wtf? She is making 4th graders write how they don't currently live in a good country and will not unless they bow before the liberal overlords. That's the way I read it. Thinking about making an issue out of it. There is a hundred ways to write that we should work together and help our fellow man but this is blatantly political and teething with anti American sentiment as far as I'm concerned. What say you?
So you think Teddy Roosevelt is part of the "Deep State"?

I hope she did not end with a dangling preposition.

About MAGA being racist?
It isn't.

I know it isn't, but dems and leftists (whatever the hell they all are these days) made it racist and you know it.

Go ahead and make an issue of it. Let us know how it works out. But hey, you’re probably paying a lot in tuition—therefore, you have a right to make some demands.

It took Dan less time to provide the canned response than it took me to ridicule it.

I think you are greatly over reacting is this is the first instance of political indoctrination of your daughter by the teacher. It could be a poor choice of words in an attempt to convey a need to work together.
If this is the latest in a long string of indoctrination attempts, document everything and have a parent teacher conference and let her know that there is no need to insert political ideology or even politics in general into 4th grade education.
This is exactly what my parents did in the mid 90’s when I came home repeating what a teacher told me about abortion. My parents asked for a meeting and made it clear abortion is not a topic to be brought up or discussed with 4th graders.
ETA: And if that’s the worst political agenda your daughter has gotten, you really need to lighten up

Ignoring the grammatically annoying nature of that sentence, it seems like a harmless, feel-good, age appropriate statement. 10 year olds aren't jaded like you. They aren't reading it like you are.
The question itself is jaded - why not something like what do you think is good about our country and how can we make it even better? At least that’s positive and not begging 4th graders to see the worst in everything.
