What an awesome fact from MSNBC. Seems that handguns aren't very lethal.
Basically the hundreds of thousands of law enforcement people across our nation are unarmed.
Thanks for posting this genius. No way the NRA can argue against these "facts" from MSNBC.

Here's another fact: Chicago is a GUN FREE ZONE. Sandy Hook and Douglas High were GUN FREE ZONES. The theater in Aurora, CO, was a GUN FREE ZONE.
Here's a better fact: desks, flesh and bone will not stop a school shooter nor the bullets from whatever gun he decides to use.

Muzzle velocity isn't everything... the AK-47 fires rounds significantly slower than the AR-15, but they'll kill you just as easily.
AR-15 muzzle velocity - 3,200 ft/s
AK-47 - 2,346 ft/s
I swear though I get fed up with the whole "vs a handgun" as if every handgun is made with identical specs.
Vast difference between a 9mm Beretta and a Desert Eagle .50 cal, but they're both "handguns"

Apparently the only factor in lethality is velocity of the bullet.
I bet if you asked the media which bullet weighted more between a 556 and a 9mm, 90% would say the 556.

Buick -70mph
