Roger wicker keeps voting with Dems on spending bills and other worthless junk. He's a worthless RINO. There are 2 pretty good candidates that are trying to primary him. I prefer Dan Eubanks but anyone besides Wicker. Please spread the word to friends and family members. The other 2 candidates don't seem to have the money backing so word of mouth is the only way they can pull this off.

Be prepared to work a GOTV campaign to try and get any challenger over 50% in the primary.

If that doesn’t happen, they’ll reuse the same playbook that got Cochran over the top again against McDaniel.

I sent him a scathing email a couple of weeks ago after he voted for the Ukraine funding package. Complained about continuing to fund Ukraine and Israel with our inflation issues, commented on how I think this is not even good strategy for more discreet international policy because the dollar is being threatened, etc.

Told him I would do everything in my power to get everyone I know to primary him. “He” emailed me back over a week later. This is the response. Btw I never brought up the border at all, so this is obviously a copypasta his staffer sent to everyone.

quote:

Dear OBReb6,

Thank you for contacting me regarding national security supplemental appropriations. I am glad to have the benefit of your views on this important issue.

Border security is national security, and the deal proposed by Senate Democrats showed that they are not willing to back strong border protections. President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas have refused to use existing laws to address the border crisis. I have no confidence that their actions would have improved under the Senate Democrats’ failed border bill.

During my time in Congress, I have supported legislation that would build more than 700 miles of reinforced fencing along the Rio Grande. In 2023, I led an investigation that found the Biden administration was spending thousands of dollars every day just to store border wall panels purchased by President Trump. To improve our security and to stop this waste, I authored and successfully passed the Finish It Act. The law forces the Biden administration to continue wall construction by using leftover panels or selling them to states who will.

As the senior Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, my priority is our national defense. The security supplemental counters the Biden administration’s weakness and will save American lives. It ensures our military’s readiness to confront the threats from China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran. Seventy-five percent of its funds will support domestic manufacturing jobs. This money will be spent inside the United States to hire American workers who will rebuild our military might, which has atrophied on President Biden’s watch.

Be assured I will keep your views in mind as the Senate works to solve the border security crisis. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can ever be of assistance.

Sincerely yours,
Roger

Bumping this thread. Of course Trump endorsed this loser the other day but hopefully the people of ms can get him out of office. Vote tomorrow and get the word out about not voting for Wicker.

Wicker is known as "Senator Earmark". He votes for all of the pork for other Senators' states and pet projects (e.g., Ukraine) and they in turn vote for his pork for Mississippi. That is earmarked money and has to be spent as defined in the bills. It a mutually agreed-to reciprocal game they all play with tax-payer money.

Yet Trump fricking endorsed him. He complains about RINOs and then turns around and endorses them

Will Dan Eubanks bring home the bacon like Wicker has done? Wicker is a pretty good pork producer.

Cast my vote for Eubanks this morning. Hope he can get to a runoff and then he can spend money to campaign.

I’ll vote for Burton if someone can clearly show me his stance on not sending money to Ukraine. That is the primary (swidt?) reason I decided to show up to vote in the primary against Wicker because of his vote on that spending bill.

It would make things easier to not go to a runoff but I just want to not be a hypocrite and vote for some other guy who’s gonna do the same bullshite

My issue with Burton was he basically had no platform. It was just trump and fight against radical leftist. Give me thoughts on policies and other stuff, not just copy and paste speaking points

100%

I went to his website and it was like 4 vague things filled with nothing but buzzwords and talking points. He may very well be a good guy but I just have no idea from his website.

Meanwhile Eubanks has a website that is obviously infinitely cheaper but he has like 20 different issues with links to videos of him spending several minutes laying out his stance on that particular issues. And I liked most things he had to say.

I’m tired of just voting for dumbasses with slogans who don’t know anything about what they are talking about.

Wicker is one of the most powerful Senators in the Nation. I did not say he's a good senator. I would dare say more powerful than Mitch.

You never hear anything from him at all. But yes, he's part of the problem.

The issue in MS is Haley and company knows how to buy votes from the dems in the delta. That's the ONLY reason Thad was put back in.

I share this sentiment with you. Until I saw it listed that Wicker voted for the Ukraine bill, I doubt I would have shown up to vote at all, especially with Trump already securing the nomination.

I agree that Burton tends to run a majority of his campaign on “buzzwords” and follows the path of Trump on a lot of things. This annoys me at times as well.

Burton came to speak in northeast MS a couple of weeks ago, and a good portion of his speech was about the Ukraine bill. In so many words he said he would only support humanitarian aid for Ukraine. He brought up it being a money laundering scheme for politicians on both sides, etc. etc. He was vehemently against ever putting boots on the ground in Ukraine or any other foreign dispute, and cited his military experience and seeing “men and women in flag draped coffins sent back home” as his reasoning for that.

I know I’m just some random guy on the internet so I don’t expect you to take my word for it, but I had the same primary concern as you. I like Eubanks a lot and if he makes a runoff against Wicker, I’ll vote for him with a smile on my face.
