Mother in-law visiting and watching CNN all morning

Every few minutes get to hear “OMG, did you hear that, that’s terrible, etc”. I tried to open her eyes by showing her a creepy Biden touching little girls compilation and she insist it is all innocent affection. (BTW it is getting harder to find those on YouTube. Do a search on YouTube and you get Biden kissing grandmas.). Guess I’ll go mow the lawn or something.

Go into your channel setup and delete CNN from the lineup. A buddy of mine did that, we've been cable-free for 15 yrs though.

Yes now the lawn, pull weeds, change the oil in the car and truck and mower, trim some trees ... whatever it takes.
And my in laws are the same — I’ve considered not going for visits anymore but I love my husband so ..

Block the channel , it along with all NBC channels have been blocked on my TV for 3 years.

She’s one more example of why the 19th Amendment was one of the biggest mistakes the country has ever committed. Women in general are driven by emotion to the point emotions trump logic and reason.

My mother won’t come around anymore. Years ago, we had a fight. Sadly, it revolved around political views.
She ruined any chances of relationships with our older children, but my 10 year old son adores her. We tried to reason with her for his sake. Our only demand was to not bring up politics. That’s it. She couldn’t do it.
We tried to invite her to the beach when Texas opened back up so she could see all of her grandkids and great grandkids. She refused the invitation saying that she didn’t want to be anywhere that she had to watch what she said.

My wife and I babysat for my liberal sister and BIL a few years ago. I setup Hannity to DVR and set as a favorite on their screen. It would switch to Hannity no matter what they were watching at 8 PM. After a few days of being back she finally called me uber pissed. Never been asked to baby sit again.

A couple of years ago I had a couple of relatives that talked to my mom behind my back about my income growth and how I am a bad person, etc, because of it.
Stopped going to family events since the day my mom told me about it. Now I only talk to my mom and dad.
Life is enjoyable when you cut out the trash in your life.
