It could mean a lot of things. My guess is the death rate is lower because of a combination of vaccines in vulnerable populations and Covid running through a large portion of the vulnerable up front a year prior. There could also be administrative changes that flew under the radar as it pertains to reporting deaths, cases etc...

I reread your post several times. Not once did I see the word vaccine.

Tells me all I need to know. Your position is so weak, that your are grasping at straws trying to make one.

That's a great graphic. .0007% deaths.

I've always contended that rather than mandates, if the government wants everyone to get vaccinated, the single biggest thing they can do to bring that about is to start acting like the vaccine works. Harris, the SECDEF, and SECSTATE, all having been vaccinated, standing on a podium 6 feet apart yet wearing a mask is stupid and the wrong damn message to send.

Public health agencies wound up the death certificate harvesting/fearmongering last year and they don’t have an exit strategy.

It’s probably been a huge budget boon for them.

Agreed. Most already have.

Hope is not a plan. There's a possibility that the temporary inferred immunity - the antibody response to only a small fraction of the virus offered from the vaccine - could negatively impact your ability to create a lasting antibody response in the future, when you ARE exposed to the live virus.

The vaccine seems to preventing a lot of deaths in MS long term health care facilities

You do get that the most vulnerable died out in the first wave? Those that remain may have natural immunity, or their DNA is much more resistant. Plus, the facilities/employees have practiced more stringent hygiene since the outbreak began, TWO YEARS AGO.

I never claimed the vaccine was total protection. That’s not how they work. They simply train the immune system to fight off a virus when the body encounters it. They keep the viral load low enough to avoid systems or in breakthrough cases, limit severity of symptoms.

I also don’t think we should have any mandates. Masks or vaccines. We should never have locked down period. We should only have taken steps to protect old people while telling everyone else to get their fat asses in shape.

I would say now that over half of the people I know who have been vaccinated have had a breakthrough case

We had (4) breakthrough cases at work just this week.

It’s 0.007. That’s .7%.

From the chart you posted....

Through October 21:

4,660,716 people in that state are fully vaccinated.

345 have died from COVID.

345 divided by 4,660,716 is .00007402296. Not .007

.000074 is .0074% of all fully vaccinated people. At least in Tennessee. I would guess that math is the same where you are.

I get that the percentage of hospitalized cases are higher. The point is that the odds are almost microscopic that a vaccinated person will have a case serious enough to go to the hospital.

Am I willing to hang my hat as a healthy vaccinated person right now on a .007% chance of dying from this stuff? Hell yes.

Because…

It’s not a vaccine.

Learn it
Know it
Live it.

Shut up, dumbfrick. You always come in and try to make some point and then just end up looking like a dumbfrick and have to run back to the OT. Skip the steps and run.

My posts from April 2020

Me talking about spread and the vaccinated

Me saying kids shouldn’t be vaxxed

My point here is that I’m not some lefty cook like Mauler wanted me to be just so he could attack my stance that the vaccine works to help keep people out of the hospital. Because it has been helpful for those vulnerable populations. The data shows that.

If you read the Pfizer briefing of the FDA, there’s a wild piece of information hidden in there. There were 3400 “suspected but unconfirmed” cases of Covid in the vaccine study.

Versus 170 confirmed cases.

If you add the confirmed cases to the unconfirmed cases, the vaccine efficacy drops well under 50%.
