Most of President Trump's Immigration crackdown is retribution.

I firmly believe that had the left simply given Trump his wall in 2016 you would not be seeing the sweeping ICE operations you see today.
Trump was only interested in the heavy duty criminal guys back then. Had he not had to fight tooth and nail for wall construction and received the praise he was due for it, then I believe he would have left the "normal" folks alone for the most part.
So it was a bit of "fool around and find out" for the left. They ticked him off and he made them pay.

I think if they'd have done the wall then, it would have helped. But this is in reaction to Biden essentially opening the border completely during his admin.

Well, if he got the wall during his first term, the invasion of our country through the southern border wouldn’t have been possible in the numbers that came through.
Now, we’re paying the price in higher crime rates, housing issues, health care, social programs, voting irregularities, etc. So call it retribution if you’d like, but mass deportations are in the best interest of the country and Trump knows it.
And the prior administration spent billions attracting, housing, and feeding the invasion that we’ll never recoup.

We are extremely behind on deportations. It should be double at least.

Trump is not doing mass deportation. Trump administration reports 3.5 million deportees. No.
They deported 360,000 in 2025. They count turnaways at the border to boost their numbers. Warroom reporters interviewed people who said DHS is not responding to requests for actual detentions. FOIA not being responded. Trump is NOT mass deporting. The fact they’re not responding to conservative media requests tells you all you need to know.

Regardless, the law, is the law, is the law! Laws regarding public safety (of which illegal immigration falls) should be enforced fully! Sadly in this country the true FUNCTIONS OF GOVERNMENT are ignored and hundreds of meaningless other functions have been added.
