The flip side is you don’t know what intelligence we have on it, we could be allowing them to “build” in “secret” just to let them burn time and resources.

The IDF did something similar with the idiots in Gaza. They caught them early on building large tunnel into Israel. They let them build it for 5+ years and then right as they got to completion, Israel imploded it.

what's to stop a terrorist from doing the same thing inside of a open stadium in the US?

When the enemy you've vowed to utterly destroy builds a drone facility deep within your country and then uses that to churn out drones in order to cripple your aid defense in one evening, you might be outmatched.

I get that drones can be an issue for surprise or in overwhelming numbers. If one is chasing you down in a field, though, why could you not just take it out with a shotgun?

If you're talking quad copters converted into a military weapon, you could. Some of the "drones" used in Ukraine are closer to guided Predators, so that's obviously a little more resistant to a shotgun, not to mention a helluva lot faster than a quad copter.

For that matter, how hard would it be to just have a handheld thing that zeroes in on one and fires a tiny missile?

Make you wonder how vulnerable we are with the wide open border for so many years.
The same exact thing could happen to us.

3.5 inch turkey load would do the trick. I don’t know if I would want to chance letting it get close enough for dove load.

The US probably funded the Israeli drones and the Iran missile defense systems that the drones took out.

They’ve already got precision-guided “mini-missiles” that are not much over a foot long. You believe it’s unthinkable that these will continue to downscale as threats like this emerge?

And, my STEM degree has done me just fine, thank you.

If they can do that in a country that doesn't let them in, imagine what they could do in a country that, until recently, welcomed every foreigner without so much as questioning their intentions?

Proof positive that Israeli aggression war on Iran was always PRE-MEDITATED.

Israel has also boasted that it has established many unsuspected "international" shell tech and weaponry companies WITHIN "enemy" borders so they can easily "sneak attack" at their whim.

Truth of the matter: "Iran nukes" has NEVER been a danger to Israel.

How could they have set all that up in Iran's backyard without anyone noticing?

Already used as the preferred method of murder and mayhem in Gaza. (The insidious part: Drone "hit-men" do NOT "feel guilty" about nor care about "collateral damage.")

It will.

Drones and robotic kill-bots render fighter jets, conventional armor and troop attacks obsolete. Black Mirror wasn't just "entertainment", it was Predictive Programming.

Shhhhh. We don’t want to connect the dots before an attack. That way politicians can put the dog and pony show on post fact.

I have seen these kill-bots and think:

The Geneva Convention and any international courts or laws need to update their "War Crimes" definitions and punitively enforced laws against their existence.

Bribes to traitors or built under the auspices of an international Third Party.

Those fanatics whose main focus in life are to disrupt, destroy or take over another nation or region think of everything.

IF it were a real court and org dedicated to peace.

They're not. (just like the UN)

They're both charades.

And so the 'we're awesome' propaganda begins.

I wonder when they'll hit them with the shite water cannons.
