You’re suggesting that every time a person opines that someone broke a specific law, the person has knowledge of an impending grand jury indictment.

Is that how grand juries work? They gather in a room and they’re given a name told to determine if that person broke a law and to come up with which law the person broke?

LOL, imagine believing this.

You have to be joking. Where did the grand jury get that law citation? That law was passed after the Civil War to keep the democrats from ignoring the Reconstruction Republicans who were in office. Somehow the grand jury coincidentally came up with it "on their own"? You can't be that stupid/naive.

The one I sat on in Houston, for most cases the DA would come in and present information and explain the law in a way that directed us to where he wanted it to go.

Usually it was accurate, but I pointed out to our group several times that what the law actually said didn’t say what we were told.

I had to explain to my group the difference between and/or and how in some cases both things had to be true and in others only one needed to be true.

While grand juries can choose their own paths, that hasn't been the case in 200 years. They are run by district attorneys. Those DAs sometimes, like in this case, get direction from other officials. Don't be obtuse.

Oh, she is very obtuse.

Nah. If it's Trump, they just make stuff up and the media convicts him automatically.

I so hoped she was going to better than this low level crap. She took a big swing and a miss and its going to set the tone for her tenure. Remember that saying about "if you're going to kill the king you had better make sure you finish the job"? Well this is why. You can't take a shot at the king, miss, and hope for mercy. It generally doesn't work that way.

You better hope there's no documentation that shows she knew and/or was involved.

This might end up very bad for her.

Which makes me wonder: What did she think was going to happen?
What was Moreno's alternate version of how things were going to play out?

I think she had a bunch of entrenched advisors (the NOLA swamp if you will) who told her "trust us we got this they'll [the state and Murril] back down before it gets out of hand" and it didn't.

I bet the deep state running Orleans Parish views Helena as expendable and if this cooks her political career, they probably don't care.
