We talk about the wokesters and race baiters frequently because it’s so flagrant

But I’ve noticed a lot of subtler ways of wokeness and censorship and snowflakery

You noticed how people in some videos on Twitter/youtube don’t say “suicide” any more but say things like “self-delete” or they’ll censor words like “rape” by spelling it “r*pe” and shite like that

Of course suicide and rape are terrible things but they do happen and since when were they words that weren’t allowed to be said uncensored like frick, shite, etc?

There's people on this board that insist on typing "Azz" instead of "arse".

Snowflakery or feminization of the culture certainly sets the stage for wokeness

The people saying that make their money from these platforms. Any time they mention those words, their content is demonetized.

I see it all the time, and not just political videos. Most regular YouTubers are self aware of this and just avoid any subject involving guns/suicide/rap/etc. Hell, for awhile there you could not say anything about COVID-19.

That was my understanding, as well.

It's why you can watch body cam footage of people getting killed, but those channels/videos don't receive any ad revenue and they'll usually ask you to join their patreon or things like that so that they can be compensated.

I've noticed this, but mostly from accounts like Libs of Tik Tok or others trying to expose the derangements of the left.

I'm sure it's some algorithm game they're playing for more visibility. Spelling out rape or suicide might get posts buried, regardless of context.

When you control the language, you control the culture.

That’s because of YouTube. They are trying to keep from getting demonetized. Because the first care of anyone on YouTube is the check. Not what they are trying to sell upon you.

but why is YouTube pushing that agenda to ban such words?

Hint: you tube is based out of San Francisco Bay Area…

Probably due to monetization policies of the platform. If it’s controversial in nature, you don’t get the same advertising revenue.

Edit to answer the above. It asks you if you have profanity in your video, if so you lose potential advertisers. There are like 6 or so topics you have to check off before you monetize.

So, is it YouTube or advertisers.

They do it to avoid demonetization. It's really that simple.

Algorithms are not friendly to the non-woke.
