I’m in engineering and it’s the opposite. Men make more for the same pay grade and it’s not even close.

I sure did. I said this unpaid labor is devalued because it’s unpaid.

So exactly who is supposed to pay people for doing domestic chores?

I mopped my floors yesterday. Who do I send the bill to?

Tax credits, and Social Security.

Imma' tell both of you that paying less on the basis of sex has been illegal for longer than I have been alive.

If either of you are providing accurate descriptions without mitigating circumstances, there are lots of people with pretty airtight civil rights cases.

The fact that no one ever files those tells me that there are mitigating circumstances/additional information that make these discrepancies NOT about sex.

So am I. In fact I hire them now. Never offered a female less than the standard package.

Also, all have the same bonuses and yearly salary bumps.

Of course with the luck I have had over the years, I would pay A&M grads more if I could. Are they better? Probably not. I have just had very good luck with them.

Can anyone point to my post stating that people should get paid to do chores? I keep seeing people ridicule me for making this argument except I didn’t ever make this argument.

It’s like when you make your kid earn a toy instead of just giving it to them. People tend to not value things they get for free.

Is that why feminists don't value domestic chores men do?

I do not see the difference between chores and taking care of your own kid.

Both are unpaid labor, but your claim is that one only devalues women.

Your assertion is not valid unless that assertion is equally applied.

Women are the primary caretakers of children and the home.

I don’t think you are capable of understanding what I am saying. Or maybe you think it’s funny to frick with me and feign ignorance while I bang my head against the wall trying to get you to understand my point.

Unpaid labor is provided for free. Free things generally aren’t valued. You claim people generally do value things given to them for free. I disagree.

3rd here in engineering, are these people at the same grade at the same years of experience?
For the same grade and years it's always been roughly the same.
Men in general work higher hours, since maybe 2016 women get promoted faster.

If you are comparing a E/L 5 to another E/L 5 at the same years of experience id be shocked if the difference is more than 10% between two individuals at the same level and years.
