Guess what, my vows included obedience to my husband, because the Bible teaches women, no matter how successful, that we are to submit. We are born of a nature, and society is trying to wipe the blackboard clean. Sorry, it's permanant and indelible.
What do you mean by obedience to my husband?
I have my idea but am curious what you mean by this.
On the face it sounds completely insane and weird to me and a huge red flag.

I think upvotes are really important to some people. Healthy, well-adjusted adults don’t brag about being obedient to anyone.

To have a healthy marriage, both man and woman should be fairly obedient to each other.

complying or willing to comply with orders or requests
Imagine if you will, the total hell of a marriage if neither were the above.
I know, I know. You will get stuck on the word "order". There is also the word "request". I do not obey orders. I do not expect my better half to obey orders either. We both obey each others wishes and requests though. That makes us both obedient to each other.
Probably why your world view is sick.

She does not feel even remotely the same as you. I wish I would have known her then. I value the shite out of what she did. Her story mirrors mine greatly.
Oh yeah, she was born and raised socialist, in a socialist country. She is big time MAGA now. Maybe she, unlike you, learned the evils of collectivism.

I see you ignored where I told you I raised my son after divorcing my first wife because she did nothing. If it were transactional, as you say, my son would not have cut all ties with her, as he did, and supported my claims in court, which he did.
Why do you matriarchal misoginistic meglomaniacs never aknowledge what us men do for you? Why do you think you deserve something special? As if men take no part in any child rearing as well as home maint and daily chores.

I love teachers. I just hate the shitty public school teachers whose lack of compassion for their own children and husband leads her to believe she should be paid to do simple tasks. These same teachers have great lack of reading comprehension.
Sorry you have zero value.

Okay, after reading through all of this it sounds like there’s some post partum mom thing going on here where you’re not happy (at this moment) with your situation and responsibilities that you’re having to tackle…..and particularly there’s no appreciation for what you’re having to do and how that may or may not be affecting your career as well.
I hope venting on this Board helps but this really isn’t a societal problem.

I do in general think it's a societal problem that didn't exist before women were told they are bad feminists if they don't try to juggle a career and motherhood.
Children are a full time job. It's just factual. Either we raise them ourselves, or we send them to others, but it will be someone's job to raise them.
Society has pretended that two working people who do half parenting is better than one person who can dedicate fully to a career and one who can dedicate fully to children.
I don't really have a care if it's the Man or the Woman who stays with the children, usually one will have a much higher earning potential.
Since I got married my salary has 3Xed we went from apartment living to a rather nice house that's had a good chunk paid off.
If my wife was working, and I was working, and our children were in daycare, and after school etc... I really don't think I could have spent so many of the hours getting good at what I do. If I'm working at 1am from home and have to go in at 6 the next morning, if I have to fly across the country, or just take a work trip to another location, I can do it, because my wife takes care of everything else.
That becomes money, lots of it. One elite employee who continues to get done what needs to get done makes at least as much as two employees who are barely able to hold it together.
Of course two elite employees who offload their children to others make more, but I think that's foolish.
Society tells women they need to have a career, it tells men to pick a woman with good career opportunities.
The solution isn't to praise women who do both and force companies to pay women more for less work.
The solution is to actually praise being a mother, it is the hardest job on this planet.
I'm more than ok with UBI for the parent of young children in the form of tax write offs.
The working Parent makes $100k, for each under 18 kid they get $3k tax credit per kid, $10k if one parent is full time stay at home.
We need more children, we need parents spending time with them so they grow into great Americans.

You and I have very similar lives and I agree 100%.
I don’t want UBI or anything like that but some type of credit or deduction for a parent in a married filing joint household to stay home and raise a family would be a huge benefit. The reality is that once you reach a certain income you pay 100% for everything, get phased out of any deductions and are forced to cover all expenses, healthcare, retirement, college, etc. for you, your spouse and kids just for making the decision that one should raise the kids rather than farming them out so you can have a dual income.
In that light you’re right, the system makes it very difficult to do what’s been done for generations and should be the accepted model for raising a family.

Modern women are chosing more and more to be obedient to corporate America.
It's a strategy. Sure. But women accepting of more traditional roles (supporting their husbands) don't have the same depression/mental health issues. So there's certainly something there.

As I've told you before, if women were PAID less, 100% of my hires would have been women. Guaranteed!

Well you are a frickin moron. You get what you pay for lmao.
No, nitwit.
If the caveat is that equally competent women could do an equally competent job (which they could in the case I'm addressing), but only cost me 80% of what a male hire would, then I'd have paid less and gotten more than I paid for. My hires would have been 100% women, given that scenario. The fact is women received equal pay though.

But because women aren’t paid by a third person to complete the work they do at home, that labor is devalued.
In a traditional relationship where everything is shared, isn't her labor valued the same as her husband's? She is getting to live in whatever home his labor can afford, eat whatever foods his labor can afford, go on vacations his labor can afford, etc.

I’m not here shitting on Women and single moms, so I’m not sure why you feel like you need to justify your wife’s existence to me. A few posts ago you called her lazy and a horrible mother that you paid to be a stay at home mom then later divorced, forcing her into a homeless shelter, so I’m not sure which narrative I’m supposed to believe.
