You can STFU with all that "Moore being a crap candidate" and "allegations made him worse" nonsense, Judge Moore is one of the greatest Americans who's walked on this Earth, a man after Thomas Jefferson's own heart who represents God, family, country and has lived one of the most accomplished lives anyone could even FATHOM living. I wish I was half the man he was. In fact, can we ban this fool for speaking such heresy? I'll be damned if I ever let the MAGA agenda be derailed because of "electability" issues which is all illogical nonsense for idiots to ponder and decide rather than on policy and fact.

Thanks for showing me your hand baw, enjoy the tax increases, baby killing, increased federal regulation, liberal federal appointees and Supreme Court justices and SJW virtue signaling with that logic and assessment of narratives that apparently the requisite voters in Alabama shared and elected a PHUCKING ESTABLISHMENT LIBERAL based on. Like good job.

Agreed.

Eh, idk. I could see either way.
Let's have a hypothetical where Hillary won but we still needed a special election. No fricking way Alabama sends a dem to the senate to help her out.
I think having Trump at the big desk allowed some GOPers to vote in a less partisan fashion.

so, you'd let your teenage daughter go out with a 30 year old man?

pedophilia aside, what would one have to do to keep you from pushing your agenda?

You mean the guy who wanted no religion mixed in with his government? He'd spit on Roy Moore.

They had a choice to put a better candidate for the general election and failed. The GOP only has itself to blame here. No blame anyplace else except for the Alabama Republican party. Moore was a crap candidate and the allegations made him worse. Wish Quinn Hillyer posted here.
I don't know enough about politics, but it seems the easy solution here would be get someone else in there.. a Republican easily wins the state of Alabama even on short notice.. but I don't know all the rules to make this happen.
Very sad he was on the ballet. Oh well.

Why couldn’t Roy get in the establishments pizza club? Wouldn’t he have fit right in?

Much respect Alabama
, you did the right thing. You rejected the unpatriotic far right nihilist. Jones is going to represent your state with dignity. Congrats on the fine choice.

ONe more reason not to like Alabama.
I'm good.
ON a side note. The pedophile discussion always went to an age bracket that was less than teen years but all I have seen is the use of this term to fit Moore for 'seeking' a date with a teen. What changed?

If you look at the demographics, it looks like a bunch of old people dying may help at least eliminate the strength of one of the tribes. Those old people simply aren't going to come to terms with the changes in the US. The younger folks have more of a chance of accepting and rolling with those changes. So I think there is room for some hope and I'm hoping that it means that both sides will accept more moderation.

I wonder how wide the margin would have been if Baldwin didn't have the tax item on the ballot.
Posted on 12/13/17 at 11:10 am to pvilleguru
Great point. Baldwin's turnout was one of the only Jones counties to do that.

Why should someone from Louisiana care about a candidate in Alabama? And for people snow flaking.... candidates win candidates lose... move on... the complaining makes you look childish... just like how all the Hillary support continue to act.... move on, it's over..

I have no doubt that Jones will represent the people of Alabama like the POS liberal that he is, but they voted him in so.........It's just a damn shame the Republican party in Alabama couldn't have handled this situation better because anyone but Moore on the Republican ticket would have won this election.
In the big picture this says nothing about the President or the country, Alabama Republicans just ran an un-electable candidate.
