If Dougie goes far left and anti-Trump then he will get his arse whipped in 2 years anyway so no big deal.
True. Plus Jones won't be seated in time to stop tax reform, and the GOPe was never going to pass a repeal and replace bill in an election year. So this really doesn't change anything.

Jones will be up for election in 2020 against a good Republican candidate and Trump on the ballot as well, the odds of him holding it are pretty close to 0.
It's a lost seat but for just 3 years.

What's with the two years? He'll be in for three years. 18, 19, 20.

Would Doug come to the table on infrastructure?

I believe that was a jury that convicted them? Or did they not teach you in history class that we use a jury system in our courts?
What about Roy Moore? Was he not prosecutor in a trial that ended up with the convictions of klansmen as well? Or was I just dreaming when I read that?

Don't forget a man who bombed the Olympics...

Nick Saban got over 5k write-in votes that Moore needed.

This entire election was about Roy Moore and Alabama was just completely done with him and were not going to vote for him no matter what.
Where Republicans fudged up was allowing him to be the nominee.
Yep. Roy Moore was just the wrong nominee. Similar to Clinton for the Dems in 16. If they nominate anyone less incompetent they probably win. If the Reps nominate anyone other than Moore, they win.

so is this like Cao over Jefferson in LA2... only in reverse?
or is Edwards over Vitter a better comparison?

I really hate that guy.
But Moore should not have been in this race. He's a damn creep.

JBE over Vitter was worse
He has baggage but not like Roy

I agree. I feel like if he would have just talked to anyone from Alabama he would have known supporting moore was a bad idea.

Looks like Dems found every black dem and suburban mother and hauled them to the voting booths.

Doug will do whatever chuckles schumer tells him to do. He will rep the majority of alabamians against their will.

Bannon and Mitch should've stayed out of it
