What we need is some crooked election official to steal this for us. For God's sake, we need a good ol boy to step up and get the job done.
My God.
My God.

Blitzer so excited
Any Dem acting like this is some statement win is a moron.
Moore has been the most polarizing politician in AL for a long time. And is hit with the creepiest of allegations 3 weeks out from the election.
Jones is going to get waxed by whatever Rep runs against him when the remainder of Sessions term is up.

Naw, I'm happy--just enjoying the moment. 7th-generation Alabamian and tired of people telling me who I am and what I think.

The write in voters determined the election. You can bet 90% of them are REP-
While it is true that probably close to 100% of the write in votes would have normally gone Republican, it's hard to single out them to blame.
It's Alabama, the election really shouldn't come down to like the 1.5% of people who did write ins.

The ironic thing about a Jones victory is it basically proves that Southern conservatives really do believe in the morality they often espouse (and in turn get attacked by progressives for) since many likely voted against Moore given the accusations lobbied at him. This same exact dynamic was at work in the JBE race as well.
Southern conservatives overwhelmingly voted for Moore. Traditional Democrats, swing voters and a small handful of defecting conservatives and non-participants flipped the election.

Fox has a check beside Jones but not saying anything about it.

If we didn't have enough reasons to hate Alabama already.

"Doug is going to win." - big time R in Alabama who was just going county through county.

He was a piece of shite dumbass even without the substantial allegations.
I mean, don't get me wrong, if the stories are what finally did him in, then cool (I actually believe some of the women... sorry) - but the reason I voted for him had NOTHING to do with the stories. NOTHING
Roy Moore is a virus on the political system, and needs to be removed once and for all. He was removed from office twice, he believes he is the law - and as a constitutionalist... and a libertarian, he is BAD news

While most of the rest of the country points and laughs at Alabama for being dumbass hicks ... the voters fell for the false accusation BS. Maybe they were right.

Haven't felt good about this all day.
