Elections in Moldavia are a farce, and the fact that they are manipulating them so openly and brazenly is one of the reasons why I believe EU elites plan to use the Moldovan population as a battering ram against Russia.
Moldova has a very large diaspora. 50/50 in Russia and the EU. They virtually ban Moldovan citizens in Russia from voting in Moldovan elections, and stuff ballots shamelessly in the EU. They ban a bunch of political parties from participating in the elections on made-up pretexts - some of those literally the day before the election -, and in the run-up they arrested a ton of people, including politicians, including a governor, and do thousands of raids at people's homes (over 3,000 individual home searches, according to the former Moldovan Minister of Justice).
They also publicly state that they WILL annul the elections if they don't like the result - just like in Romania before.
Acting this openly only makes sense as an emergency measure of desperation."

Speaking of farcical elections, do you actually believe your Russian boss got reelected with 88% of the votes in his last election? Of course, that was after he had any serious opposition candidates removed from the ballots.
Not even FDR got anywhere near that % of the vote when he ran for reelection during WWII.

There are 300 polling stations opened across 41 countries. Britain hosts 24 stations, Germany 36, Italy 75, and Russia has two.
Voting in Moldova ends at 21:00 local (9pm)/15:00 ET, but mail in ballots will continue flowing. The first preliminary results should become known around 23:00 (11pm local). [5pm Eastern US.]

If they are shafting ethnic Russian, I'm good with it.
Russia does all kinds of manipulations to put their people in power or invade a country to protect precious Russians. Moldovans need to put up a fence or kick Russians out of the country.

Despite Russians spending hundreds of millions and likely the largest efforts ever aimed at rigging a European election, it appears the people of Moldova have tonight thwarted Russia, with 85% counted.
