He's right. All the people wanting Bernie to be the nominee need to think about the people that will be voting. You really want to leave it up to the "gimme, gimme" crowd to decide the direction of this country?

But middle class Dems, Dems who own businesses and have money, and Dems who still want to work for a living will never vote sanders. Plus, Dems in unions and Dems who work in PA oil will never vote Sanders (health care/fracking).

The hated the left has for Trump is so real that many of them will simply fall in line behind Bernie.

Whereas, a lot of the Bernie Bros would never support any Dem other than Bernie.

The election will be decided on how many of these middle Dems are so angry at Trump that they will vote for the Dem candidate, no matter what.

Momentum can be hard to stop. I don't think the takers outnumber the givers yet, but it's no huge gap, either.

hey Mitch? ask Mitt Romney if he stands with the people of the state of Utah that put him in the senate.

Yes. I do. I think that a trial of capitalism vs socialism will do this country a host of good.
It’s time we educate our neighbors on simple economic principles.

They have been educated plenty. They reject it.

I wholeheartedly disagree.
Took a trip to Cuba last year with guys from LSU. All upper-middle class. All diff political and philosophical backgrounds. Only a couple understood the plight of the Cuban people, their history (why/what/when), and the current state of affairs. Upon our collective return, we were all in agreement communism sucks. I know it’s anecdotal, but still.

I agree I think Bernie would have the best shot. Trump still wins but he would destroy any boring stale politician like Bloomberg or any of the others. Bernie is the only one with any fire to him

That is what you are missing.

They aren't being sold Cuban Red Communism.

They are being sold Finnish White Socialism.

These kids probably would prefer Capitalism over Communism, but they think Socialism is better.

They believe there is a legit difference between Communism and Socialism.

Just like a good coach, he doesn't want folks spiking the ball because the underdog won the other semifinal bracket.

Bernie is - for lack of a better descriptor - the left's Trump. Populist. Not really an established member of the party. Has, by an order of magnitude, a larger and more motivated national base of supporters than, really, any 2 other candidates.

What he doesn't have is money. And the Wall Street masters have told the Dem establishment that they are NOT going to enthusiastically fund or back any Sanders campaign (or, really, Warren, either). They know the folks they own/control - Biden, #MayorCheat, Amy, or folks they can trust, Doomberg.

So, if it is Sanders, Warren (or, shudder the thought, both), they might fund some downticket races, but the top is going to have to go alone.

Of course, Bernie doesn't want their money, anyway, but the DNC does.

What will make or break Bernie as the nominee in the general will be his VP pick. Someone like Admiral McRaven as VP will be very dangerous.

The old saying is that "people vote with their wallets". If one candidate is promising freebies, and the other is promising better opportunities with more jobs, the infamous 47% will vote for the freebies in lieu of working for it. And that's not counting the lefties that will vote D no matter what.

Say what you will about McConnell; he usually has a strong feel for political winds. If he’s saying Bernie is a legit threat, we’d be foolish to outright dismiss it.

Coach speech in pre-game press conference before rent-a-win.

Only way any Dem wins is via massive, massive fraud.

FFS, they have paid staff in every state on special committees whose only job is to perpetrate election fraud.

Personally, I’d like to see voter/election fraud be classified as Treason, and punishable by death (or life without parole at the least) for those organizing/planning it. Ten years in the pen for anyone who votes more than once or votes illegally.

He’s right. The Democrats are a fanatical ignorant bunch and their TDS will drive them to the polls regardless of who the candidate is. Add to this the usual massive voter fraud that they always pull off, and it will be a close race.
